Good morning

Toward Dawn - Totally biased as this is my friend's game (@deviserene.bsky.social), but damn is Toward Dawn good, like making a JRPG with constant forward momentum and a battle system I actually want to engage with... who does that?
Funi Racoon Game - Honestly game of the year, if you disagree come fight me in the Trasco Carpark
Resident Evil 9 - I have not related to a character more than when Grace is fumbling about, apologising and reiterating that everything is her fault, and I mean it is her fault, and that's okay, she still deserves headpats
My partner has been playing Slay The Spire 2 by streaming it onto the TV and using the TV remote pointer like a WiiMote to play - I’ve never been more baffled and proud at the same time
You’re too kind ;w;
Felt cute enough to take some photos with my terrible phone camera
Introducing my fiancé to Gnosia was the best idea, look at her go! She’s so stunning!
All I’m saying is that it seems y’all are indeed making therapy… just therapy for a certain group of people
Of the Pixar movies I’ve seen, these are the ones primarily about a male character’s feelings of inadequacy:
- Toy Story
- Toy Story 2
- Toy Story 3
- Bugs Life
- Lightyear
- Up
- Monsters Inc
- Finding Nemo
- Cars
- Cars 3
- The Incredibles
- Ratatouille
- WALL-E
- Coco
- Soul
Today for World Book Day (and every other day) I’m dressing up as Mia from the Princess Diaries… before she got the makeover
Love Eternal - In stressful times, I find banging my head against a really hard game is quite cathartic, and this game provided! completely incomprehensible plot in the best way, and vibes are impeccable 9/10
Romeo is a Deadman - Felt a little let down by Grasshopper on this one, perhaps because the plot didn't make me feel as gross as some of their older games, but still loved the rough edges and the incredible music video section, scoring this the most 7/10 (endearingly)
Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved - Real cozy time with this nice, contained story and a short runtime... damn, this must be how people who read books feel all the time 7/10
My Hatsune Miku DAP filled with 10,000 songs and every Stephen King audiobook has literally fixed me
Early 2000s anime really does not give a fuck
Wow .HACK//SIGN is completely incomprehensible in such an interesting way, i thought my childhood memories were fuzzy and weird but nope, that’s just what the show is like
Life is Strange Double Exposure - Honestly impressed with how bad the mystery is, it’s like venturing into Riverdale territory, but less fun 3/10
There’s something poetic about a game featuring Strong Bad being released the same month as Adobe Animate dying
A Game About Digging a Hole - my partner watched me play through this entire 1.5 hour game and then we proceeded to get way too into getting all the achievements before going to bed, staying up til like 1am, Not a great game but fun wife time! 4.5/10
Hi-Fi Rush - After Unbeatable, I wanted to continue my little rhythm game run and damn was this a good choice, doing a boss fight to Fiona Apple was iconic and the characters are just so damn likeable - 8/10
Mr Bones - Shout outs to @insertcredit.com for doing a Mr Bones episode, which compelled me to check out this weird ass game filled with some of the most baffling design decisions. But good on Mr Bones for scoring a ghost woman at the end with his sick drumming skills - Painful Ice Physics/10
Remember when Life is Strange was an anthology and how good the second one was… those were the days
Unbeatable 9.5/10 - A game that is bursting with passion at every moment and completely falling apart at the seams. In a sea of AI bullshit and soulless product made by bigger studios, Unbeatable shows through its narrative and the game itself that art comes from vision and just fuckin going for it
this is your mission. our pedophile president needs you to jump out of a helicopter to kidnap a head of state and his wife so some oil ceos can make a lot of money. we’ll be watching from a resort in florida that still serves wedge salad and checking how many retweets we get. good luck soldier
As you read the news today, watch who phrases the news as an "illegal invasion and regime change" versus "bringing democracy". It'll tell you everything you need to know about the news source you're reading, and frankly should decide whether you ever read them seriously again.
Perfect Tides 9/10 - Starting the year off extremely strong with a heart-wrenching, raw depiction of what it feels like to come of age in an isolating tourist trap of a beachtown.
Feels perfectly targeted at me, someone who grew up in Bournemouth.
Did this one before, going to have this ongoing thread to keep track of all the games I completed in 2026
If anyone sees me with a copy of Gears of War: E-Day or something I want you to slap it out of my hands
