Went to a friend’s place today and jammed some music. It was the first time I’ve played music with another person in..22 years? So much fun, and I think he’d be willing to play guitar live with me :)

For whatever reason, this Other People's Music isn't getting much traffic & that's a shame! All 5 acts are worth checking out if you're into their genre; I particularly connected with the soft-edged ambient psych haze of @tenandtracer.bsky.social's Caramel Bother

@sethpolansky.bsky.social this is one of those times I wish I wasn’t correct in my analysis - but I still feel somewhat offended that what felt like the entire senior illustration community on FB felt the need to attack me.

I avoid FB, but still have it for Marketplace. Saw people shocked about the Marvel layoffs last week. The exact same people told me I was nuts when I told them this would happen, and was basically 100% accurate as to the timeline, back in 2022.

For some reason automation really intimidated me..but I have broken through and have been using it for about a week, and I am psyched for the things that have opened up for me :)

I have finally figured out how to automate pitch changes in Reaper, and like most such things, I’m embarrassed how long it took given how easy it is. Now I can do some FUN stuff with drones….

And I would NEVER turn them towards kids or young women.

I had a pair of Google glasses, tbh. I totally get the ick factor, but it completely reinvigorated my love of composition by being able to capture images of what I saw immediately. That said, in today’s world, wouldn’t get them again.

A quick reminder that Unions ARE the corporate friendly solution. The other option is bloodshed.

Just a professor standing in front of BlueSky demoralized because exams my students used to get a mean of 83% on prior to 2020 are now failed in large numbers. It seems that their ability to APPLY concepts to new contexts/domains has all but disappeared.

I love these students & I am worried.

It makes me really sad that people would rather be wrong than mocked.

I think many moderate libs suffer from the same thing as Batman fans....they're embarrassed to be made fun of as "flakes and dreamers", so they double down on trying to be "Serious and realistic", at the cost of the strengths and enjoyment of having a position.

Over and over again in the last few years, we have seen that when the Left finds a candidate they are passionate about, that candidate WINS....when the Libs try to be "big tent moderates", they LOSE.

Libs - Look Left to fill your tent.

The Democrats sense that they're gonna cruise to midterm victory by doing nothing and offering nothing and are using it as a freebie to punch left to make sure the voters don't get any ideas.
