As a pokemon fan it was a mixed bag: on the one hand, 5 new Mega Evolutions. On the other hand, none of them are obtainable in the base game as 3 of them require you to play online PVP and the other 2 are locked behind paid DLC

Imo making a game "feel" balanced is more important than making it mathematically balanced. As long as each player feels like they're contributing to the story in some way, it's balanced

Having read the Zodiac I think its a really good start, the unique spellcasting and emphasis on Luck and support helps it stand out. I assume you don't need weapon training since you can attack with Mysticism, otherwise Sword seems non-functional.
