I've discovered Jarritos soda, and I am obsessed. I don't typically drink soda because of the high sugar content (which I only care abt bc I'm diabetic) but the fun flavors are worth a little treat. Currently enjoying tamarind.

It's been a season of pet emergencies over here. My dog is sadly joining me in the cancer club, and what's wild is how much easier it is to find funding to pay for his treatment than it is to find funding for mine. If it weren't for my GFM and support of my community, I wouldn't be able to seek care
I got too cocky with resetting my sleep schedule, and last night the insomnia was back. I fel awful today, and glad I get to just stay home and spend time with my pets.
It’s spring break so not technically a snow day but I kinda want to take it as a snow day and spend today watching Oscar-nominated films I didn’t get to see yet.
A dearth of species turnover may be a bad sign in an era of habitat loss and climate change. [via @yalee360.bsky.social]
I feel this way about most of my reps here, too. It’s so frustrating.
Yikes the PTA fanboys found me and gave me lots of assholes to block. Forgot for a moment why I hate social media.
Nah, I hate the government. I also hate men who abuse women, like many of the actors have who were in that film. I can dislike the movie for many reasons.
I just ultimately feel like a movie where every single man on screen has some type of Allegation (except Benicio Del Toro, bless) is not in a position to teach me how to be a good dad
Boo. When I watched it, I thought, “oh. This will probably win.” Not bc I think it’s deserved, but bc it feels like something The Academy likes. I was obviously hoping Sinners would win, but at least Marty Supreme didn’t get anything!
It is so gross how Jessie Buckley apparently made her husband get rid of his pet cats when they started dating. Not bc she’s allergic but bc she doesn’t like cats. What a red flag. I would never. My cats (& other pets) were here first. I’d rather be single and keep the pets
Rose Byrne was so good in that film but omg what a tough film to watch
I love pop culture but aside from social media, the wonderful podcast Pop Culture Happy Hour on NPR is where I get all my news and trusted opinions on pop culture.
I am loving all the ASL from Ryan Coogler. I think his wife is a ‘terp!
Hell yeah! I am so glad Michael B. Jordan won for Sinners.

Viewers noticed Ryan Coogler appears to have a guitar and treble clef braided in his hair at the #Oscars
A reminder that the Academy shamelessly and wrongly fired a lot of its archivists

“All adults are responsible for all children.” Yes!!! I believe this idea so deeply and it guts me when ppl say I shouldn’t care about or don’t have a right to an opinion about children bc I don’t have kids. We should ALL care about what happens to children and look out for them.
K-Pop Demon Hunters is another movie I went into knowing nothing about it. I thought it was an adult horror film but watched it bc of a friend’s suggestion and I was so delighted by it. It was fun to see all the kids dressed as characters at Halloween.
Yep.
One of my male relatives would love Sinners for so many reasons, but he refuses to watch it because someone told him it’s too “woke.” 🙄
I feel glad I’m not the only one who can’t think of anything else whenever he is mentioned. More people need to know about this.
There’s no excuse for doing bits before presenting awards and then not letting winners give their full speeches.
hey remember when Sean Penn kidnapped Madonna, held her captive, bound and gagged her, and beat the shit out her?
I think it’s because he’s way more talented.
That looks incredible.
I’ve put the birds to bed, bribing them with walnuts. Zonda screamed at me, but she had been in a mood all day.
In other news, I already have an inch of snow on my deck.
I think my love for the film is also because of how much my mom loves Barbara Streisand. Now I want to watch that movie again.
The Way We Were was my favorite movie in junior high, and I watched it so often I wore out two VHS tapes. (How did it take so long for me to be diagnosed with Autism again? lol)
