The idea is to get broad strokes down and then iterate until it's where you need it to be. For my notes that means situations and names. What does it mean for your notes?

This is exactly what I've started doing with my #rpg prep notes. I'll put in something like "comical situation involving a usually small troll under the bridge" and come back to it. I'll build on that and say the troll is part of an MLM, but at the bottom.
I was up late with a cluster headache reading last night and caught a link to an interview of John Swartzwelder and his process for writing drafts struck me. In the vein of obvious advice is obvious: when writing a draft put in placeholder content and iterate later.
It was a delight to be interviewed for this issue, which is chock full of interesting articles and features. Wyrd Science continues to set a high bar for indie journalism in games.
@sofahq.social a feature request: can there be a way for the order of Categories in Enjoying to be reordered? By default it’s Watching ➡️ Reading ➡️ Playing and I’d like reading to be first so they show up on the Enjoying card on the Home Screen.
You're best off just doing the thing. Whether you want to or not.
Read good books.
Learn how to prioritize what matters and do it.
Maybe try meditation.
Practice some form of gratitude.

There was a time in my life when I read a lot of self-help books in the pursuit of better and I've tried a lot of different things. @markmanson.bsky.social's episode on self-help matched much of my experience.
A lot of this feels less like “what to do” and more like how you show up.
I wrote a bit more about it here:

For me, it wasn’t about caring—I’ve always cared about people.
It was dropping the idea that there’s a “right” way to show it.
Things got better when I stopped following a script and just showed up as myself.
I think one of the easiest traps as a manager is trying to act like a manager.
You start asking questions because you’re supposed to, not because they fit how you actually connect with people.
It sounds right, but it can feel off.
I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing. Starting with a quick productivity tip I recently heard about from @marcoarment.bsky.social on @atp.fm: Hidden Apps www.wesbaker.com/posts/hidden...
It definitely has a US bias. I’d also argue it has a Gen Con bias, followed closely by an Essen bias. You don’t hear a ton about Origins, PAX Unplugged, or UKGE there.
Is there a breakdown for digital versus POD? Didn’t they recently bump the POD prices at DriveThru?
Can these be used as overlays for the tiles in Hex Kit?
Endeavor is excellent, it has a great build and the choices are always interesting.
A lot of folks are recommending rules and such, I’ll recommend two PDFs that focus on methods and philosophies (don’t run away!)
@mattfinchmythmere.bsky.social’s Primer for Old School Gaming www.mythmeregames.com/products/qui...
And the Principia Apocrypha lithyscaphe.blogspot.com/p/principia-...
Great review. I want to play it, but I also don’t think it would quite fit into my life at the moment and your review helped me balance those two competing pulls. That being said, I’ll watch out for a reprint in case one ever materializes.
You mean this book bookshop.org/p/books/acro...?
Alternatively you could link to your publisher’s site for the book. www.abramsbooks.com/product/acro...
I'm so happy to hear it. Let it be known that there are folks following you that would love to subscribe so you have a consistent income stream. I'm a big fan of @senetmagazine.bsky.social and a happy subscriber. I'd love to be able to do the same with you, even if that's 1-2 magazines a year.
Old-School Essentials
Traveller
Root (didn’t go well, need to try again)
Pathfinder 2e
That's a great use of time just stuck in the car. Also, love the case in the background, what is it?
We put this one on our 10x10 challenge. I enjoy the simplicity and the interactive play.
I've been curious about this one and the Shinjuku messenger bag too.

Any plans for The Game Changers to come out in ebook format (and purchasable in the US)?
RPGs are worth it, but I can only muster so much effort to make them work.
RPGs on the other hand are far more calculated. I want to ensure the people are consistent enough for a few sessions. I have to pick a system I can teach and am interested in. I have to pick a system people will actually play. I have to plan out an adventure. I have to schedule the sessions.
