Diazepam alters the shape of alpha oscillations recorded from human cortex using EEG

We've been saying for a while now that beta bursts might be functionally heterogeneous. Check out @quentinmoreau.bsky.social's paper where we show that different types of bursts have different relationships to behavior in a sensorimotor adaptation task 👇👇👇
How dynamics arise from the structure is my biggest interest. In this study, we started with a small step and asked how structure constrains dynamics. Spoiler: would that it were so simple… (1/6)
Congratulations!

Thrilled to share this work, spearheaded by the Danc lab (led by James Bonaiuto) @danclab.bsky.social, in collaboration with us, especially Matteo Maspoli @mattgmasp.bsky.social and Danila Shelepenkov @shpen.bsky.social, and other groups who share the belief that MEG still has untapped potential!

I'm looking back at this paper written 2019 & published 2021 with @andreaeyleen.bsky.social: How Computational Modeling Can Force Theory Building in Psychological Science (pdf: oliviaguest.com/doc/guest_ma...) We presented a positive view and kind, if I do say so myself, compatibilist stance. 1/
This is too real

Grâce à des travaux sur la #MEG laminaire développés dans le laboratoire du Dr. Bonaiuto, il est possible d'estimer l'activité neuronale à différents niveaux de profondeur des couches #corticales. On vous raconte comment.

Our group has been looking at beta bursts for the last 5 years, but we do it a little differently than most - we group into types them based on their waveforms. In this open access article we lay out why and what we think this might mean

Congrats dude!

It's out out. Saying that your favourite signal is an oscillation is not enough, it would be good to quantify to what extent.

Multi-scale parameterization of neural rhythmicity with lagged Hilbert autocoherence

Our article on lagged Hilbert autocoherence is out: direct.mit.edu/imag/article... Just because you do a TF transformation on your signal doesn't mean that it's an oscillation. Siqi Zhang @maciekszul.bsky.social Sotirios Papadopoulos, @alimassera.bsky.social, @hollyrayson.bsky.social

Judging by some reviewer comments I've recently received, the future is now
I think we're on track to find out, like it or not
A figure with 3 panels. Top: A plot of log-evidence for an experimental effect over peristimulus time, as inferred using vRSA. Bottom-left: a condition-by-condition matrix of regression parameters. Bottom-right: condition-by-condition matrix estimated by the vRSA model.
Do you like RSA analysis, M/EEG and Bayes? Then you'll love Variational RSA for M/EEG, by recently completed PhD student @alexlepauvre.bsky.social from Lucia Melloni's group. It's a method and SPM toolbox for multivariate analysis of M/EEG data. arxiv.org/pdf/2511.01784 . 🧵 [1/4]
