g'day mate
you read my friggin mind π
when you reply to my posts, it's exactly like walking into my home and speaking to me while i'm busy doing something. my posts are just me saying things out loud to myself while i go about my day.
i'd guess so, yeah. we might not see anything about it for another year or two. need more time for more grants to go through. the pledge itself doesn't seem particularly objectionable either, so it'll probably come down to interpretation.
the pledge itself is on this page (as a pdf at the bottom). looks like it covers grants that are under the vcfa. www.vic.gov.au/victorias-mu...

you invented that guy. he's not real.
oh i'm inventing a guy? yeah, so what? it's called having an imagination.
my understanding of how the economy works:
there is a guy who doesn't listen to music. he doesn't have any hobbies outside of sports betting. he goes to the city and sends emails for 8 hours a day. if he feels uncomfortable in any way? recession. too comfortable? also recession.
we're losing our cultural cringe and embracing our bogan nature. knew it'd happen eventually ππ
yeah deffo. be good to get on the piss again.
lol not digging into this one. just remembered this weird bit from it. it's bioforge, an old dos game.
ascension "flock of birds"
oh wait, actually it looks like it was! seems like it used a system called "flock of birds". 4 sensors, 144 measurements a second according to the brochure.
not from what i can tell, but it is pretty decent for the time (1995).

oh you're going to love this. it doesn't let up.
so if the vast majority of australian stories can't get it right, let alone video games, death stranding 2 had no chance. it's just a particularly visible example of it.
and in fairness this is a shadow that looms over all australian works. there's a desire to not engage with that history, either out of ignorance or caution, but both paths risk treating australia as a sort of creative terra nullius. a place where the only story that exists is the one you're telling.
i reckon i'll have some opinions on its use of australia as a setting. odds are it'll be interesting, mature as far as games go, but marked by a glaring absence of interrogation of the history of this country particularly given the themes it's working with.
started death stranding 2 last night. it good. norman good.
