Another Reform defector returns to the Conservatives, claiming "the vast majority of candidates are indeed racist, misogynistic, and bigoted", while the leadership have "failed to tackle this issue in any meaningful way." 🤦
Politics is indeed beyond parody... 🤷

Amid the chaos of the news stories of dubious veracity today, a former legal professional has released his annual double-entendre-laden video..

International diplomacy at its finest.
Custom production: Commercial advertising content promoted across the BBC outside the UK, produced to the quality expected for BBC content, running in commercial slots.
So they'll likely prostrate themselves before whoever's willing to pay...
Sponsored Content: Cohesive brand sponsorship opportunities around ground-breaking new and high quality existing BBC editorial content.
From their website: What we offer:
Branded Content: Thought-provoking, shareable content, published on BBC platforms outside of the UK and designed to engage audiences through beautiful films and innovative digital executions, delivering attention-holding impact.
They describe themselves as "the commercial content studio of BBC Studios, responsible for creating award-winning branded content for global audiences" with offices in London, Dubai, Delhi, Singapore, Beijing, Sydney, Toronto and NYC.
So leveraging the reputation of the BBC for advertorials.
A six hour Cabinet Meeting?! Presumably including a few hours' siesta time for Dear Leader...
Donald's got another made-up award to add to his collection: the "America First" award, courtesy of the Republican National Congress...

Spotted on 🐘 - this is a genuine position being advertised...
...what could possibly go right?!

Reform's candidate vetting is as strict as ever...
...sorry, I meant to say as hopeless as ever...

Not forgetting pencil and paper ballots only, and all counting must be completed overnight (so presumably any ballots not counted by then get discarded). Even if they do all that, they'll bleat "FRAUD!" if a D wins and seek to discard the results...
They probably hope that more D voters will be affected than R voters. If not, then they'll restrict early voting / mail-in voting / ballot drop boxes / polling place opening hours / polling place locations etc.
Hmm. SSMS 22 asks to update itself (22.3 > 22.4)... Involving 373 Visual Studio packages (!)
GitHub integration as standard, mercifully GitHub Copilot Integration is an optional extra rather than default (unlike every other frigging part of W11 with built-in Automatic Idiocy integration)
It's the same story all the time - even in his first term. On appointment, they're great, he's known them for years, and they're the best possible choice for the role by far. On dismissal, Don claims he hardly knew them, had nothing to do with their appointment, but always knew they'd be terrible.
Brum News: Unite the Union have been fined £265,000 by the High Court for breaching the waste depot blockade injunction (+£170,000 towards the council's legal costs, with a possible further £90,000 under consideration).

Unfortunately, both the Blues and Cyans (probably also the Oranges) would also fawn before Palantir and US TechBros (many of whom would outwardly condemn age verification policies but privately embrace strategies and legislation to eliminate online anonymity for data harvesting reasons).
Only if Elon personally funds it himself and no government money is used for the project (ha - fat chance!). I nominate him to be the first resident... maybe even give him an Optimus for company...
If it was the other way around, "Move along now, nothing to see here..."
Nigel's latest gambit (when he's not flying half way across the world to avoid being anywhere near Clacton...): investing in a Bitcoin reserve company run by Kwasi Kwarteng (of Liz Truss mini-budget fame)...

Unfortunately, SCOTUS have given him immunity for almost everything, while the GOP are too far up his ass to Impeach him, and he'd practically have to be in a coma for the 25th Amendment. If he was removed, you'd likely end up with Vance as President with the same crew of rogues and misfits.
If conscription is introduced, what's the betting the Trump boys will suddenly be diagnosed with a health condition that exempts them? 😈
Spotted on FB:
The Iranian religious leadership could seriously confuse the Americans by electing Donald Trump as honorary supreme leader (with a deputy providing day to day great leadership).
He'll likely continue without bothering to seek Congress' approval to extend beyond 60 days (War Powers Resolution), or claim that as C-in-C, he doesn't need to bother with Congress and any Congressionally mandated restrictions on military action are Unconstitutional.
There are rumours they're also fuming as the bases in their countries are predominantly being used to protect Israel rather than thems...
Unfortunately, Presidents of both parties have long engaged in military action without formal declarations of war, while even the 1973 War Powers Resolution only requires Congress to be notified within 48 hours of deployment and the deployment to end within 60 days unless Congress extends it.
"Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible." (George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty Four)
Principals? What principals?! They'll be whatever he feels will further his immediate next goal, but unlike Boris, doesn't have the charisma to successfully pull it off and hoodwink a sizeable portion of the population.
Never mind everything else mentioned in the video up thread (oh, and some of the satellites would require accurate positioning wrt earth so the data centre can communicate with HQ!)
I wish the media would use proper measurements rather than arbritary comparisons; while Starship is still in testing, and just a single GPU would need the biggest radiator ever developed. Given how congested LEO is, 1m satellites would have to spend a lot of time actively avoiding each other!
