Wow! My father had that same style desk. I remember always thinking it was such a cool desk with so many compartments for correspondence.

A pro-Susan Collins super PAC keeps running this ad with corporate lobbyist & former House GOP Leader Ellie Espling going on about how Collins cured her cancer or something. Let's look at Ellie's record in the Maine House on health care:

I was reluctant to use WhatsApp before, but begrudgingly decided to try it since a local group wants to use it to organize an event.
1. Signed up for WhatsApp using my phone.
2. Signed into WhatsApp web app on my computer.
3. Joined group that required me to sign up for WhatsApp.
4. Account immediately suspended without sending a single message.
I have not yet read the article, but I am eager to know the background of the experts. Are they teleportation experts? Waffle House experts? FEMA experts? Have the Times reporters lost the ability to understand reality without expert guidance?
Cool… and this will finally get me started on that apple pie I’ve wanted to make.

Hey everyone remember this tweet from a week ago?
Tell me again how this is going exactly as planned?
Mills has often been at odds with the rest of the Democratic Party. She obstructed the implementation of LD1971 which limited cooperation between Maine law enforcement and ICE and vetoed the right to repair law. I’m not sure I would say she’s supportive of democratic beliefs.
On the latest episode of the Qasim Rashid Show, I sit down with Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner to discuss his campaign against Susan Collins, opposition to U.S. wars, support for Palestinian rights, defending trans people, and the economic populism driving his grassroots movement.

It would be nice to carry your computer in your pocket and be just a keyboard and monitor away from your full work setup.
I can’t watch more than a few minutes. I think about how much time, effort, and study goes into grant writing and how difficult it is to get federal grants only to have these idiots yank the funding away without any expertise and without putting in any effort. It’s hard not to throw my phone.
If any news outlets are covering this and want to talk to a trans Genomics PhD who specialized in human genetics and the evolution of sex, please reach out to me
This is complete nonsense scientifically. It's fascist eugenics, not biology
Setting a horrifying precedent for genocide
The DOJ released evidence, which the FBI deemed credible, that the President of the United States sexually and physically assaulted a 13 year old girl AND she was afraid to talk about it because Trump would kill her—and it’s somehow not the biggest scandal in American history?
I’m tired of all the Platner will be another Fetterman people. Where are the Mills will be another Golden people?
I can’t predict the future, but I feel like we have to try electing progressive candidates if we want things to change and shouldn’t be swayed from trying by the experience with Fetterman. I also hope the campaign he built would turn against him if that happened.
What I’ve seen so far suggests he won’t. He reached out to my daughter’s union as they were organizing and showed up to lend his support at their rallies. He also mobilized his campaign to help defeat the Maine voter ID initiative.
PFAs (people from away) all mad at us for not supporting Mills don't know she vetoed or sat on every progressive bill put in front of her for 8 years.
She refused to sign the bill stopping PDs from cooperating with ICE, just a few weeks before the ICE surge began in ME.
She's Collins lite.
Folks need to hear that these are the political conditions being navigated in Maine

Since July, more than a dozen pregnant children have been moved to a single facility in the small town of San Benito, along the south Texas border. The children kept in Texas are as young as 13, and about half are pregnant because of rape, according to a joint investigation by the Texas Newsroom and the California Newsroom. In Texas, abortion is banned in nearly all circumstances, including rape and incest.

You’d think after 30 years in public office, “are we at war” would not be a tricky question!
“When I then asked if we are now at war, Collins said, “I’ve just had a classified briefing and I’m not gonna . . .” before cutting herself off to step into an elevator”
