i often think about this point since there's a lot of focus on calling out hypocrisy like this as some kind of gotcha. they don't consider themselves hypocrites because positions and stances are fully malleable as long as it goes towards the true agenda of obtaining absolute power.
in general it's a good reminder that any support corporations show to marginalized groups is disingenuous and they will reverse course the moment they believe it is profitable to do so
it's an uncomfortable reminder that society is effectively all based on social contracts that ultimately mean nothing if not enforced.
some people might reason that it doesn't matter since there's no gameplay impact, but i've always been in the mindset that cosmetics still count as content and are things to look forward to and enjoy.
i don't doubt creating costumes for the roster is much more difficult than it was for SFV or the avatars, but it's wild how little information we've been given around it. i would've thought at the least that costume 4 news would be out.
