When you're walking or biking somewhere, the safest assumption is that all cars either actively want you dead or at least don't care if they happen to kill you
Glad John Oliver is covering prediction markets this week. I hope the next Dem admin torches Kalshi and Polymarket, and also DraftKings and Fanduel, to the ground
let's make a cultural value judgment: palantir are a bunch of execrable fascist shitheads and their ideas go against the basis of every civilized country on earth, from which they should be extirpated like the intellectual cancer they are
Takano has the power to initiate the process for Trump's removal! If you really truly believe he should be, the answer is impeachment. It's not the 25th Amendment. Pretending it's up to Vance and the Cabinet is a complete dodge. The body that matters here is the one Takano has a vote in, not RFK.
ok but i want you to not be able to afford beef
It was either that or McLovin
Tbh being a cishet white man is still a pretty good deal overall. I recommend it
I think the more salient question is why would we expect their planet to be united under one civilization/government?
i can't help but think about 10 or 11 years ago when conservatives insisted that obama was uniquely anti-catholic because his administration thought that catholic-led orgs could just fill out a form if they didn't want to cover contraceptives in their health plans for employees.
"We do baptisms"
"There's this thing called the Trinity..."
Christians trying to explain their denomination to a different denomination of Christian: "So the thing about us is that we believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins"
I would hope that outsiders could look beyond our current government when evaluating Americans, but I would also hope that they would not supply our current government with heavy weaponry. ๐ฅฐ
Hell yeah, Jon. Keep it up!
I work on behalf of Pedophile McMurder Inc to lobby Congress to subsidize the gambling on recreational whale torture sector, and let me just say, how dare you imply that my job is in any way unethical

It took like 15 minutes of clicking different links that say stuff like "click here to manage/verify your subscription" and inputting the same details multiple times before the website seemed to finally figure out that I'm already a subscriber.
Love when the website confirms that I am a paid subscriber who was billed for another year not two months ago, and also tells me, despite being logged in as a paid subscriber, that I'm out of free articles and need to subscribe for more. Excuse me?
I would just like to say, as a @wired.com subscriber, that it's completely ridiculous for a tech magazine to have this terrible of an account management system. Genuinely one of the worst I have ever dealt with.
I have one. Doesn't help on mobile. Also, like, I don't really mind paying for a service I use? Video hosting is expensive and at least with Premium I'm not stiffing creators
I watch YouTube enough for it to be worth it imo
God may not exist, but we have somehow still managed to bring about the Antichrist
Nothing wrong with that
Quite possibly, but I don't really want to listen to Hasan Piker enough to confirm
I don't really have much to say about Hasan Piker besides that I've long thought that he's a fucking idiot
Yeah, it might just be that they have more/better training with images than audio?
Admittedly, they do seem to do pretty well with understanding images most of the time despite not having eyes.
