Not from a player perspective, but from a design perspective you might want players to see the forest rather than the trees.

Blue Prince makes you browse your notes to remember where you saw that one thing. Outer Wilds has everything fall into place slowly, as long as the player pays attention.

I think it's very clever design to solve a problem that Outer Wilds had: you could tackle it one problem at a time too easily. Loop after loop I spent on the same planet trying to see everything.

Blue Prince doesn't let you, you continue solving the rooms that come your way, the rest will wait.
