Played the demo with 2 more people and we all thought it was too much jank. A boar killed me through a wall and then zoomed across the entire island to attack the others.
We uninstalled it after around 2h of minimal fun and played Salt 2 instead and loved it, even if it's less about being a pirate.
I wonder if you could win by making your opponent too hungry to continue playing.
Either way, I just hate how "I just want to do my work" in IT is so unappreciated right now.

I'm pretty sure I got layed off first, because they ran out of money and I was a hanging fruit... I just wonder if my anti-ai opinion made it easier for the pro-ai ceo to pull the plug, because another co-worker got layed off at the same time, who did most of the work and he was also anti-ai.

better tracks and electronics along the tracks would actually allow trains to go faster... which can also get more dangerous, especially around bridges and tunnels... best if people would just allow you to take longer to commute and to commute less imo.

It's hard to believe that adults act like this so I keep believing in the dead internet theory and think they have to be bots... I submit to cope.
Sadly the reality that there are actually people who would uninstall a software over a mascot that doesn't really affect anything is just too dumb.
Regarding UX you are supposed to expect user error... but you shouldn't take away user autonomy and this is a perfect example of acting like the user is always wrong and google knows better.
I haven't used google translate in a long time until just now and it's going as expected. I specify what the original language was, then type in the text for it and it automatically does the "translated from (another language)" and the output in english was the exact same text.

Even after transferring the primary status, which requires the old one, I had to still do the virtual game card transfer as if the old one is still my primary.
