London has been awarded the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2026.

This prestigious award is global recognition of the work we’ve done to build a better London for everyone.

This shows what we can achieve when we work together.

Everyone is going to want to beat us in the Championship, the big scalp. The club needs a reset, didn’t have this biblical narrative in mind tbh. Gonna be disappointed if we don’t go down now 😂

Onwards. Downwards. Rain or shine or shitstorm.

No matter the embarrassment, misery or goading from rival fans, none of us are going to wake up one morning and turn our backs on them. As much as we hate what the club has become, it’s still our club. Every broken part of it.

Can’t control the football, can’t control any of it. So I’m left with one undeniable truth - I belong to this football club regardless and in spite of everything and anything. They chose me. There’s no escape. It’s my identity. I’ll always support them.

Four-panel image-led graphic. Left panels show David Attenborough wearing a beige jacket, seated outdoors beside reeds and water, smiling and gesturing behind him. Right panels show close-up photos of a beaver swimming and standing upright among tall reeds. Bold yellow caption text across the panels reads: “If someone had told me when I first moved here that one day I would be watching wild beavers in London, I would have thought they were mad. But there they are, right behind me. Happily going about their own business.”

NEW: Many people have been trying to talk London down, but the evidence tells a very different story.

Last year saw:

The lowest homicide rate since records began

The fewest homicides of those aged under 25 this century

White storks nest at Dagenham country park in rewilding project White storks, were previously driven to extinction in Britain, and not seen in London for 600 years.

This is really cool. When you see the storks at Knepp they feel pre-historic. This is basically bringing dinosaurs to Dagenham.

Sadiq Khan recalls past abuse as he urges Nigel Farage to apologise over racism claims Exclusive: London mayor says allegations of teenage racism against Reform leader remind him of being called P-word

Racist abuse is never 'banter.' It’s racist abuse. I was on the receiving end growing up. It has a deep, lasting impact.

I welcome the Government's commitment to push forward with these plans, which I've lobbied for for more than a year.

This would be a major victory for Londoners.

NEW: Plans are underway for a tourist levy to supercharge London's economy. It could raise *millions* to fund major improvements in our city.

London is the greatest city in the world, but there’s always more to do! A tourist levy would make it an even better place to live and visit for everyone.

He was scoring against Real Madrid and Man City in the champions league before he did pretty well for Fulham too. I think there's a player there.

Arguably the best 10 in our squad today, great season at Leeds and he's clearly a decent player who showed decent flashes for us before injury. What's the issue?

Dear Britain, it’s now clear: 20mph zones save lives and don’t slow traffic. Implement them | Sadiq Khan There is too much bluff and bluster on this subject. Ordinary people just want safe streets for themselves and those they love, and we can achieve that, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

The latest figures show robbery, theft, residential burglary and knife crime are down in London, but there's still a long way to go before I’m satisfied.

Backed with record funding from City Hall, the Met is putting high-visibility policing at the heart of fighting crime.

Always particularly satisfying to beat a team doing so much time wasting. Great spirit to reach the third major final in a row. What a team!!
