Niches not niche enough?
Farenheit?? This must be from a 19th century puzzle book!
Clears it up a lot.
They say that the Soviet Union was criticised because it took three days for them to admit it had happened:

I'm surprised the wedding photographs came out. Maybe they had a very heavy lead-lined Soviet camera.
Yes, that's very sad.

They have had some good talks by genuine philosophers in the past, but they are also quite happy with crack-pottery, as you'd expect from the name.
The definitional problem:
"
Existential nihilism is a worldview characterized by the belief that the totality of existence is meaningless & any attempt to change or rectify this, with the goal of establishing meaning, is futile.

They're busy unembedding Microsoft from France just now, and that's been a very long-term, expensive infestation.
So, where there's a will, there's a way!

Thank you - I missed it before..
I think it is worse than that. Now there's a popular magazine, 'Psychology Today', with an article claiming that nihilism can lead to anhedonia and suicidal ideation.
This false view, apparently supported by peer-reviewed research, is a direct result of the conflated definition begging the question
It'll be interesting to see how incretin mmimetics compare. They seem to help addictions generally through the same mechanism:

The 'THE EXISTENTIAL NIHILISM SCALE (ENS)' makes it evident that the two quite separate things, Nihilism, and hopelessness, the belief that 'belief in the futility of trying to ameliorate this absence' are hopelessly muddled in the questions:

It seems a hugely threatening White Supremacist manifesto.
It does not acknowledge a debt to Humanity, to Science, to Mathematics, but to a particular nation state - simple nationalism.
It presents a xenophobic, blinkered control-freak agenda.
A company best avoided! @PapantirTech #Palantir
Nihilism does not lead to anhedonia, depression, & sucicidal ideation.
It is not clear why there is definitional flaw in 'Existential Nihilism': conflating nihilism with symptoms of clinical depression & anhedonia.

That's a brave ambition.
I'm pretty happy if things don't get worse too quickly.
I don't think perfection exists, so I couldn't imagine what the 'best' might be.
Taoism suggests 'better' and 'worse' are simply perspectives anyway.
We can actually, literally, move planet earth, ourselves.
All you have to do is jump up and down. As you do, you and the earth move away from your common centre of mass, and then move the other way as you come down.
The earth moves.. albeit not a lot.

Well, that remark certainly lightens the tone. I can almost feel an approaching ribald riposte.
Even in algebra::
f(x) = x + 1
sets different interpretive expectations from:
1 + x = f(x)
Wirth was wise to insist on ':=' for Pascal, recognising that '=' is incoherent, unless you overload it, or introduce '==' for comparisons.
I like it that R uses '<-' and '->' for assignment, though less pleased that it allows '=' as a synonym.
