I started playing Magic the Gathering recently and have found that I enjoy archetypes like infect and stax.
My friends have taken to questioning my life choices due to this which I guess makes sense.

Soooo I'm thinking I'm gonna do a big stream toward the end of January for my return to things. It'll be ~8 hours of fun with sporadic breaks.

Ever since I moved to the mountains I've finally been able to embrace winter fashion. It's cold enough to wear my peacoat, scarf, and cardigan and I'm loving it!

Honestly Backblaze is pretty neat and affordable. I use Syno's cloudsync applet to just run it weekly. You can set up versioning and stuff with it too.
I sync everything but my collection of Linux isos and total cost for B2 is like...5 bucks (USD) a month give or take?

Right?! The squirrels where I was at were hella brave and it was adorable. This lil one just came right up to me and took a treat right out of my hand and just hung out for a bit.

That's hella cool! What sort of setup are you running? I've got a small Synology running that syncs to Backblaze B2 and an external drive, but I'm always looking for more stuff to nerd out about haha.
I think my next project is gonna be an unraid system and a diy opnsense or something.
Yeah I had no idea it was even a thing til like a week ago. Better late than never. Makes setting up new installs a hell of a lot easier and faster especially since I just had to reinstall Windows on my laptop.
I'm sure I'm late to the game but I've just recently discovered winget, the package manager for Windows. Coming from a Linux hobbyist perspective, it's nice to have something akin to apt or zypper for managing installs.
Made setting up steam, gog, etc on my new laptop a breeze.
Y'all remember "The Game"? Like the one you just have to think of to lose? You'd just hear someone say:

Xenogears is one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Last time I did a playthrough on stream, half my commentary was just waxing philosophical to chat haha.
It's a game I'll perpetually replay a few times a year.

So last night I'm hanging with my parents and some of their neighbors, going around to various houses, munching on snacks, etc., when one of them is like "hey man, do you smoke weed?".

Ah that's really cool. Networking is definitely my weak spot. The only things I really know are that 99% of my issues are that something with the DNS dun goofed or that I forgot that I used a specific port number somewhere and tried to use that same one again haha.
