“Angels with Dirty Faces“ is my favorite of Jonathan Wilson’s many excellent books. David Winner’s “Those Feet“ is underrated. David Goldblatt‘s ”The Game of Our Lives“ is so so good. For a novel palate cleanser, Ross Raison’s “A Natural.”

I don’t think it’s outrageous to think Dano is the weak link in TWBB, but it‘s over the top and cruel to suggest that makes him a weak performer in general.

Also, I don’t think it was PTA’s intent to make TWBB a “two hander,” like some period/Western version of “Heat.”
