I think you could, but I think it might just be more interesting to let Hanger be a face in an uncomfortable situation and let MJF be a heel in an uncomfortable situation.

I don’t think people truly want a face MJF at this point, nor do I think people would be fully into a heel Hangman.

Honestly the cherry on top would be that it could force MJF & Ospreay into an unholy alliance, and give us MJF vs Swerve at All In too

I’ve got MJF dropping back to Hangman, w/ Hangman forming some kind of tentative alliance w/ heel Swerve.

Sets up Omega vs Hangman at Dynasty.

Then Ospreay has to go through the alliance he helped form to win the belt at All In.

But I’m hoping we can do more.

If Hangman and Swerve are going to continue to feud with The Opps, they should use this opportunity to make a major face stable.

Throw in guys like JetSpeed or Brodido and let the faces be an actual threat to the DCF or Death Riders or whoever.

Was basing it off MJF’s feuds. Joe took his title 2 years ago. He’s currently feuding with Hangman. He hasn’t feuded with Swerve yet.

It’s also the order they stood in during MJF’s return promo. To your point though, MJF addressed them in the order of Hangman -> Joe -> Swerve. So maybe!

Whoever said #AEW was doing A Christmas Carol with this Men’s World Title story honestly might be onto something.

MJF is Scrooge. Joe is Christmas’s Past. Hangman is the Present. Swerve is the Future.

Tonight, at #WorldsEnd is all about the lesson MJF is learning.

I’ve been predicting that #AEW All In’s main event this year will be Okada(c) vs Ospreay, and I feel more confident in this when I consider the fact that the story could play into Fletcher’s face the and could include a UR reunion.

Going to be interesting to see how #AEW brings back Jay White. It seems like there’s the most room for him on the card as a top heel, especially if Mox turns relatively soon, but also the Bang Bang Gang are getting such strong face reactions. I don’t know how you undercut that to make them heel?

I have to think the play in the Blue League is Claudio having the points to move to the Semi-Finals, but needing Mox not to lose to OC to make it actually happen. OC beats Dorada & Mox. Claudio loses to Takeshita & Draws with Roddie.

#AEW CC Predictions for Week 2, I got:

Okada beats PAC
Fletcher and Knight Draw
Claudio beats Mox
Takeshita beats OC
Dorada beats Roddie
Darby beats Speedball

#AEW is gonna use Joe and the OPPs to replace Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Syndicate as MJF’s next big feud.

We’ll see MJF screw Joe out of the belt at Worlds End and then Joe will screw MJF out of his contract. They’ll proceed with the feud they intended about MJF needing to get tougher.

Personally, I really like there being other accolades that wrestlers can line their trophy cabinets with. Things like tournaments, which AEW has a couple good ones, and event matches like the Royal Rumble.

I’d love for AEW to designate an annual event-match that can also serve to elevate a resume!

On the other hand, the large amount of AEW & ROH belts seems to create a narrative logjam at times. Like they can’t fully service promoting each belt without things feeling forced and last minute at times. I don’t know if it’s always the best use of AEW’s screen time.

Also, my unsolicited opinion about the belts is that it isn’t as simple as there are or are not too many belts on tv.

Belts from other promotions, to me, adds a sense of scope to the wrestling world that #AEW exists in and a sense of prestige to the wrestlers themselves.
