Lovely piece by the lovely Katherine Garrison!

I talk about the weather too much, but how can I not when a sunny day slips in for a visit before retuning to frosty mornings for a while yet. How can I not when grass crunches below and unnaturally green buds peep from dull branches and the air is warm enough to smell of manure again. Almost sweet.
This has been on my list for so long! If not for a full on pick, I’ll definitely add it to the side-quest list

Struggling lately with holding both joy and despair together at once. Harder every day to feel excitement, delight, pleasure of the smallest degree when the world is mean mean mean.
blue graphic with an outline of the United States. Red and white text reads: Call. National Book Banning Bill Proposed in US House of Reps. Tell your rep: Vote no on H.R. 7661.
We've had a day to pull a few things together, so here's a thread some more targeted info opposing the potential national book ban just proposed in the House of Representatives.
I fear bothering people to an unhealthy extent, like, there's this little mental nudge I have to give myself to *heart a stranger's post* online (amongst MANY other things). It's some strange irrational whisper that I might be bothering them in some way and it gives me pause what is wrong with meee
"This story is leaning too close to a stranger and laughing at things that aren't funny."
This story unfolds in the most sublime and devastating of ways.
Hand holding the novel Tinkers by Paul Harding
“I am a tinker; the moon is an egg glowing in its nest of leafless trees—“
lovely, whimsical, yearning, vast
Would've loved to go to AWP this year but I (a) spent the money on grad school apps instead (exciting news to share abt that soon) and (b) I've been down bad with an evil, evil cold this week, so I suppose I'm exactly where I need to be! I hope you're all having a beautiful time (:
Couldn't imagine a more beautiful, sun-drenched February day for drinks and Swan Lake with the Gals this eve <3
something about "...and then laid on our backs on the floor." really hits for me
"The growing moonbounce of his walk, his arms slightly levitating off the dinner table when we ate together."
Love love love this surreal and yet all too real piece by @iamchrisscott.bsky.social
Excited to be bringing four new @mooncitypress.bsky.social

Today I'm thinking of February rain, tungsten-hued highways on early morning commutes, a Monster energy drink poured into a nondescript insulated mug so observers don't know you're drinking a Monster, chartreuse sweaters, magenta suede Mary Janes, the awful things, the awful people, and the good.
RIP Bud Court—Harold and Maude was extremely important to me as an insufferable goth child.
The pink skyline brushing along snow in the park across from my house this morning reminds me that the days will get longer again, that they already are.
Oh, I'm feeling anxious in my body, mind, and soul? More caffeine will definitely help !
"Now everyone’s heads are like wasp nests buzzing with alarm—the blustering abroad, the vengeance at home, the ever-metastasizing conspiracy theories."
Yet another haunting and deeply poignant story by the talented @jaimegill.bsky.social. I wish this one felt more like fiction.
