I've been thinking about the backlash Marie Kondo got and I think part of it was not just that she was saying "buy less shit" she was explicitly say "only buy what actually makes you happy" and in a nation of conspicuous consumption it pissed people off.

Got my weekly divination up over on my Patreon. The Knight of Pentacles makes an appearance and tells us that we need to look to our routines and how we are spending our money.
I was so ready to start my Death year. And then I found out that I was wrong, I wasn't facing Death but something very different. I've got a post up on my Patreon about why I was wrong and how I am navigating a change that I wasn't ready for mentally or spiritually.

And then I started on Substack. I'm excited for this because writing has always been my superpower, and I like media that supports and encourages longer form writing.
If you are Substack give me a follow or subscribe.
Up to 10 members of my Patreon. The ball is rolling up!
So, I need to raise money for rent, and I'm looking to sign up 10+ people to my witchcraft coaching sessions. To that end, I'm offering an introductory hour long, one-on-one online session for only $50. This is $30 off what I'd normally charge.
You can book a session at the link.
I've got 6 members on my Patreon already. My goal is to have 10 by the end of the month. So I'm off to a good start.
Congrats Hungary!
Education books on witchcraft and creativity. My first book was on sewing magic. My latest is a beginner's guide to making a magic practice that is personal.
Oh, and the other thing I'm working on right now is the 2nd edition of Coven & Crucible. We've got a crowdfund going for it right now. If John Wick meets The Last Witch Hunter is your jam, check it out: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/1...
I'm not writing a book this year. Since 2017 I've written 7 witchy books and 4 ttrpg books. There are still articles and blog posts to write, but not having a long form project is strange.
I'm trying to sit with that feeling, but my tendency to busyness keeps trying to fill the void.
The Whiskey card from Seasons of the Witch Mabon Oracle lays on a tarot cloth. Next to it is the deck, face down. Above it is the box the deck comes in.
I'm offering free weekly divination over on my Patreon. You can join for free and get a message each Sunday about what the week will hold. Sign up here: www.patreon.com/cw/RaechelHe...
This week's message is patience with long-term goals. It takes time for whiskey to finish, and so do your plans.
White and purple flowers growing in mulch. The sun shines on part of them and the rest are in shadow.
The weather cannot make up its mind as to whether it wants to be warm or cold. However, the flowers dgaf and are coming up in droves.
Upright and not crying and ready to make that everyone else's problem today.
I love that your library does that!
I started a Patreon today. I am offering early access to videos and blog posts, as well as one-on-one video chats about how to make your witchcraft personal and powerful. Tiers start at $1 and there is a free membership as well.

GM Tip: Don't take yourself too seriously. Your players will probably find some childish way to mock whatever awesome name, scene or character you came up with. Just roll with it.

I do this a lot because it gives the players more freedom and creativity in problem solving.

Last night I got to play in the game I wrote. It's being run by a friend and I had a blast. It's a weird feeling to be on the other side of the GM screen.

It's me!
I have seen a lot of cursed stuff in my time in academia but this is among the *most* cursed.
Grammarly is generating miniature LLMs based on academic work so that users can have their writing ‘reviewed’ by experts like David Abulafia, who died less than two months ago.
Yeah, I have a hard time taking care of myself, but I can take care of others no problem.
Mental check-in...meme only.
The problem with the whole 'post a woman author you've read 5 books by' is how many women don't get a second book, let alone five.
Anyway, carry on.
Niceness is what you say.
Kindness is what you do.
A water bottle festooned with stickers is next to bag of chocolate covered acai berries.
At the Fire & Ice convention this weekend and I'm running on caffeine and chocolate covered acai berries.
We started a new Chronicle in the play test of Coven & Crucible and the theme is A-team meets Creature Commandos.

Back in the gym again because I need to be strong to fight fascists.
