Comment sections on drum 'n bass tracks from 1995-2008 are like this too. Beautiful stuff.

Literally why I started watching football (soccer), which is my country's favourite past-time and one hell of a social lube.

I have a fondness for Fallout 3 that is a bit irrational, but I do agree that it never reaches its full potential. Stalker 2 (playing rn) is a much better version of it. It even has the same janky PS3-era aesthetic without really aiming for it. And does not feature a leveling system. High rec!

Fallout 3 encouraged stumbling upon side stories. BOTW never did. It's basically Shadow of the Colossus made by people who thought Shadow of the Colossus lacked mini-games and collectibles.

All I ever did were completing those blue temples, admire the landscape and cook meals. Those activities triggered the Animal Crossing-part of my pleasure center. Beyond that, I tapped out of the progression after 1 temple. Reminded me of Fallout 3, in a way: do everything but the main line.

I would be so much more efficient if it weren't for the comfort of my couch and the blanket that lives there.

Saw Eight Bridges at Berlinale and was reunited with James Benning after 14~15 years. I told him I interviewed him in Rotterdam after small roads and he said, you looked familiar. Couldn't be happier!

This year was the first time I started my festival off with a premiere of a friend's film. And I'm running into so many folks that it's hard to keep up with the movies, which is terrific in a way.

I did my first IFFR in 2008. Traveling there took me 3 hours and I was late for my first movie, so I ended up watching Paranoid Park on the frontest row of an IMAX screen. I haven't missed an edition since (except for that one time in 2022)
