Flurry of emails exchanged between Ita Buttrose and David Anderson before Antoinette Lattouf’s sacking Federal court file indicates Buttrose, Anderson and ABC chief content officer communicated on 19 December before Lattouf was taken off air on 20 December

The ABC (my employer) needs to stop defending this case against Lattouf and settle - including an apology and reinstatement. They should not have taken her off air in such a manner. Her colleagues stand with her.

Managed to see Rage back in 2000 and they were phenomenal - had to wait until 2023 to see Bjork but worth the wait

A very smart colleague just pointed out the grim truth that the U.S. leaving the WHO may ultimately be a win for the rest of the world. Why? Because without a vote, “the US can't block WHO actions like vaccine programs, disease surveillance, contraception, etc”. Man, that is daaaark, but accurate.

I love how so much of it as well is about creativity. The making of things. Tonally way off, but Halt and Catch Fire also like this.

Guys it doesn't actually matter if he made the Nazi salute, the man is a bonafide white supremacist, he believes in the "great replacement theory" and very literally is trying to populate the earth with his white children. He talks openly about this. There is no debate here.

a colourful blue, orange, red and purple chart showing a light and dar kblue history for temperatures, recent shifts upwards through orange and light red, and two futures: one of light and dark red (1.5c), and one of deep purple (3c and more)

I think this is one of my favourite colourful climate chart type things, because it depicts two things at once:

- Things are going to get worse, no matter what

- The degree to which they get worse depends on decisions made today

MS: I've noticed that all the way through this conversation David, you've referred to him in the present tense.

DL: You have to keep Angelo alive. I believe life is a continuum, and that no one really dies, they just drop their physical body and we'll all meet again, like the song says. It's sad but it's not devastating if you think like that. Otherwise I don't see how anybody could ever, once they see someone die, that they'd just disappear forever and that's what we're all bound to do. I'm sorry but it just doesn't make any sense, it's a continuum, and we're all going to be fine at the end of the story.

Dave asking, on the national youth-oriented radio station “Doesn’t that mean the system is stacked against young people?” and Clare replying with a chipper “Sure!” is the type of killer political instinct that sees you elevated to Labor’s front bench
