I agree with JR here. I’ve spent my whole life working with disadvantaged populations. It’s my civic responsibility, I believe, to support schools when my kids have graduated, just as my parents did, when we finally could breathe a bit financially.

I remember having my kids in the 70’s, raising through 80’s and 90’s. We were broke and agonized over school bond voting. We couldn’t afford it but knew we needed it. We sweated over our two votes knowing those could be the deciding votes. Not easy. Not simple. But a decision every household made.
