When it comes to the animation world, there is something that brushed me the wrong way for the past decade and it's when people call an animator or an animation "bad" because it's not smooth like sakuga/anime ; vintage disney era.

All animations does not need to be smooth to be called "good".

In Super Mario 64 DS, giant characters normally cannot crawl. However, reading a sign pounded halfway into the ground forces the character into a crawling pose. When giant, this results in the character's giant posterior completely blocking the entire screen.

It’s the 25th year anniversary of Invader ZIM and It’s hard to not sound hyperbolic when I say I think Jhonen literally saved my life with this show. But I think it’s true. Tavisha and I were so poor in the 90s: just a couple of goths with no healthcare trying to live as artists. Because Jhonen included me in his project I not only got to work with the amazing cast and crew but I also now consider many of them my found family. And while the show didn’t make me rich, my found family me want to live. Now here’s a picture of GIR I drew sitting comfortably on a sandwich.

Ember - Capybara - A LITTLE GIRL WHO LOVES SNACKS AND YELLS EVERYTHING! LIAM'S LITTLE SISTER! Grace - Elephant - A shy little girl who likes to carry around a toy moth her grandpa gave her. Her family has high expectations for her. Mothleby - Toy Moth - Grace's toy moth. He enjoys fruity teas. Teacher - Raccoon - Loves his sweatshirts and bowties. Ember takes up 90% of his attention. Panel 1 Bolero, Ember, and Grace are having lunch at school. Bolero brings a plate of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Two of them have strawberry jelly and one of them has grape. Fans of raspberry jelly are outraged. Bolero: I got our lunch. Ember: THAT'S ONLY THREE SANDWICHES! Panel 2 Ember turns to Grace to point out the obvious. There's nothing there for Mothleby, Grace's toy moth. Ember: MOTHLEBY NEEDS LUNCH TOO. Grace: Mothleby never eats here. Panel 3 Ember: THAT'S TERRIBLE! EMBER IS OUTRAGED! How could someone let this happen? She will be talking to Teacher about this immediately. Panel 4 Ember marches directly over to Teacher to give him a piece of her mind. She pulls on his sweater sleeve. He is mildly irritated as he knows exactly what this is about. Ember: TEACHER! MOTHLEBY NEEDS LUNCH TOO! Teacher: Are you actually concerned or trying to get two lunches? Ember: IT CAN BE BOTH! Ember is such a good friend, she will happily eat anything that Mothleby doesn't. Tragically, she did not get two sandwiches that day.
