Welcome Maxine, Steve and Mexi ๐
Don't forget to use #ukcanals on posts ๐ it's full on #canal and #narrowboat content.
Which version of the dish are you using, and whatโs power consumption like when running direct from 12V?
Welcome! Sounds like our first trip 2.5 years ago, out from Slough and north up the Grand Union!
Woke up this morning to snow! Scraps wasnโt so sure. Donโt forget to brush the snow off your solar panels! #UKcanals

Crick Boat Show from the air. We're moored 3rd from the bottom there.
Yeah, we've made use of both multiple times already. It did quiet down a lot very quickly, one Sunday about two weeks ago we were outside all day from 11am and didn't see a single boat enter or leave the locks and actually checked to see if there was a stoppage or something!
It seems they don't tend to come out until later in spring, the local shrew populations have definitely declined somewhat since the beginning of May
Foxton Locks has become the focal point for this summer's cruising, not too upset about that - the Grand Union summit is divine rural territory. Hard to even find a shop for hours of cruising.
got lifted out for the first time!

We're headed down to Crick for the show as we've never been. We'll be at the market in Great Haywood for the holiday, we attended last year as well and it was a good atmosphere. Tixall Wide at the moment which is indeed stunning! Hoping we don't need any unscheduled work done anytime soon for sure
Spring's tantalizing rays
We wanted to (still in Fron), but apparently they're not draining it until mid Feb and they're not unplugging it as usual but pumping it out the "normal" way. Very sad.
Nothing better than a good solid piece of 1800s civil engineering
The twelve aqueducts of Christmas
Day 6: Coleford Aqueduct
Despite being nowhere near finished, the D&S had two completed aqueducts. This one, known as the Hucky Duck (a corruption of 'aqueduct') is someone's garden! They kindly invited me to scramble up to the top!
