In previous drafts you would appear in front of the draft board, they would find a diagnosis (or previous arrest) for homosexuality/transvestism/etc (classified as 4-F back in the day), then send you home. I suspect they would just do the same with anyone with a gender dysphoria diagnosis

Virginia has a special election on April 21.

If the referendum is approved, Virginia will temporarily redraw its congressional map to fight back against GOP gerrymandering in Texas, Florida, Missouri and North Carolina that is stealing House seats.

VOTE YES to fight back! 👊

The Trump administration is quietly trying to build medical dossiers on all federal employees.

Their prescriptions. Therapy appointments. Abortion records. For millions of people (and their families).

They won’t say how they’ll use it.

But I can venture a guess.

Dating the Moon's basins A paper in press in the Journal of Geophysical Research uses new data from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to update our story for the history of the Moon's…

Conversation on Artemis right now on the relative age of Orientale compared to other lunar basins. I wrote about that a while back: www.planetary.org/articles/092...

art002e009276 (April 6, 2026) - In this view of the Moon, the near side (the hemisphere we see from Earth), is visible at the top half of the Moon disk. It is identifiable by the dark splotches. These are ancient lava flows from a time early in the Moon’s history when it was volcanically active. The large crater that appears below the lava flows, dark in the center, is Orientale basin, a nearly 600-mile-wide crater that straddles the Moon’s near and far sides as is partly visible from Earth on the edge of the Moon. In this image, we have a full view of the crater. Everything below the crater is the far side, the hemisphere we don’t get to see from Earth because the Moon rotates on its axis at the same rate that it orbits round us. Credit: NASA

At this stage of the game, it is crystal clear that the internet, as a whole, was a huge mistake. But every now and then, we find incredible uses for it, like this photo gallery of Artemis II pictures.

Justices Reject Colorado Law Banning ‘Conversion Therapy’ for L.G.B.T.Q. Minors

😡

Only Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented.

"Justice Jackson warned of the broader implications for medical care that she said could be “catastrophic” if states cannot regulate some kinds of speech by licensed professionals."

How can therapy be regulated as an evidence based therapeutic intervention if therapists have a First Amendment right to say anything to any client?

If therapy can't be regulated as a therapeutic intervention, why would insurance pay for it any more than it pays for newspaper subscriptions?

New: The legal attacks on transgender Americans are moving fast beyond questions of school sports and youth gender medicine. Democrats are getting caught flatfooted, as they're still debating how to respond to the wedge issues

To make it even more clear: The NYT doesn't report like this on anything else Trump's HHS does. It's all treated as sketchy and politically motivated except when they want to eliminate trans care (which the NYT has led the campaign on for over a decade).

Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.

Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.

A member of ACT UP said that during the peak years of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s: “We went to funerals and buried our friends in the morning, protested in the afternoon and then fucked danced and partied all night.”

Because the world is on fire, it’s on us to live out loud. We need to do it all.

Trump is adding anti-trans provisions to SAVE America Act Trump appears to be using culture-war issues, which are popular among Republican voters, to increase the pressure on Republican lawmakers to back the bill.

🚨BREAKING: The White House confirmed Friday that President Donald Trump is pressing Congress to add new provisions targeting transgender people to the SAVE America Act — a sweeping anti-voting bill that could disenfranchise millions. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

"It isn’t a stretch to see a bill like this used to outright ban all books by or about LGBTQ+ people under the guise of it being ‘sexually oriented.’”

The bill has the ignominious distinction of being the very first national-level attempt to ban books"

Why We Must Fight to Stop HR 7661 Before It Destroys the Lives of American Children Lately I’ve been calling my House rep and screaming about one zillion things, and maybe you have too. But today I want to talk about one thing in particular you should add to your list: H.R. 7661 i…

How a bill targeting trans literature could ban all LGBTQ+ books from American public schools (and why you should care).

The question is always "what if a kid is wrongfully transitioned" and never "what if a trans kid is denied the ability to transition and endures years of excruciating dysphoria and has to have multiple surgeries later in life to fix the issues caused by going through the wrong puberty."

No one before Ben has ever considered that trans women might actually be effeminate gay boys. No one has ever suggested such a thing to us, repeatedly, in a bid to prevent us from transitioning, or developed entire typologies around the idea, or reinforced it in multiple academic fields!

as change. I didn't regret the decision to take hormones. I wouldn't have survived much longer without passing. And the surgery was a gift to myself, a coming home to my body. But I wanted more than to just barely exist, a stranger always trying not to get involved. I wanted to find out who I was, to define myself. Whoever I was, I wanted to deal with it, I wanted to live it again. I wanted to be able to explain my life, how the world looked from behind my eyes.

Yet I was so afraid to come out and face the world again. I wondered why I had to choose the opening years of the Reagan administration and the rise of the Moral Major-ity to demand the right to be myself. Would they arm villagers with torches and stakes and stalk me through the countryside? Would I stand alone, handcuffed in a precinct cell, with no one to turn to if I survived the nightmare? But then I acknowledged that no matter who had been in the White House, it had always been hard to be me. Between a rock and a hard place-something told me this lifetime wasn't going to get any easier. I'd already been through a lot though, and it didn't seem to me it could get much worse.

Once again I couldn't see the road ahead. I was still steering my own course through uncharted waters, relying on constellations that were not fixed. I wished there was some-one, somewhere I could ask: What should I do? But no such person existed in my world. I was the only expert on living my own life, the only person I could turn to for answers.

Insane.

The anti-trans movement wants an absolute right of parents to control their children, from the kids' religion to their gender. The state must obey the parents.

Except when the parents want to affirm their children as transgender. Then the state can do whatever the fuck it wants.

The Trump Administration is Testing Conversion Therapy By Medically Experimenting on Trans People in Prisons The Bureau of Prisons is subjecting trans people to conversion therapy and denying them care with the goal of helping them "recover." It's trying to prove dangerous conversion practices can work.

Under a new policy released Thursday, the Trump Administration will test conversion therapy on trans people in prisons. It explicitly states that it aims to help trans people “recover,” all the while forcibly detransitioning them both medically and socially.
