I am glad to hear things are better than they used to be. Before this law, in a cafe, I was once asked to breastfeed in the toilets as someone had complained.
Said I would, as soon as the complainer ate their lunch in the loos. Wasn't bothered in there after that!

This spoon is the Sports Direct Mug of the late 80s/Early 90's in that everyone had one, and no-one knows where from.

Haha, but it also isn't polite to tell the lead singer this

Erm, oh. Hello again. This isn't at all awkward

To be fair, he was pissed, and didn't explain himself well.

You know that person you keep meaning to message but never get round to?

Perhaps do it now, whilst you're thinking about it.

This time last year my brother was still alive.

I could have given him a call. I didn't though as how could I have known that in a few days from then he would die a horrific death trying to save his son.

I will regret not speaking to him more until the day I die.

I just found one on a pullout bed section, at the back, in the middle at the bottom

I was sure we had them on each of the modular parts that we put together, but now I cannot locate any of them

I'm not convinced they aren't evil - just not in the way we were taught.

Just remembering how we were taught in church that computers were evil and part of the mark of Satan.

My childhood really was batshit.

He is at the age where he is mostly made of limbs of indeterminate length.

Added to the overactive oaf gene we have in our family it makes for a heady concoction of physical chaos. Both frustrating and hilarious in equal measure

I think it's the lack of willingness to ask for help with it too. We think we should be able to do it because we have been quite self resilient generally, but nothing in our childhoods prepared us for this. It doesn't follow the rules we learnt for assessing print media.

I think there's also an argument for having had an analogue upbringing but dealing with digital and social media. Many of our generation don't want to admit they need help with online interpretation and take things at face value.

But yeah, probably mostly lead poisoning.

He has just come to me on his way to bed, given me a big hug and said "I love you Auntie Petra" and my heart completely melted.

I am laughing far too much at this. Cat's face is perfect!

Playing UNO with him today. He has so many of his dad's mannerisms.
It took me right back 30 years to playing cards with my brother.

The word bittersweet has never felt so apt.

I have just spent quite a bit of time trying to explain that computers were not necessarily connected to the internet when I was his age.

He wanted to see if the little games his dad wrote for the Dragon 32 (I think) were in the app store.

A few weeks ago I had very little knowledge of tariffs and how they work.

This was clearly Somebody Else's Problem.

*sighs wistfully

This is all the more poignant when you know that it was his dad - my little brother who died last year - that taught me how to read a simple program when we were teenagers.

Now I get to pass that on to his son.

I have just confounded him by finding the error in his scratch coding.

He is amazed that I would know such things.

My nephew is with us for a week.

He loves to hug people, but only once he has decided you are one of his people. Last time he was here for the week I got one hug.

I have already had several in the last 24 hours.

Life is not all bad. These moments are beautiful.
