Wonderful chat with four members of Bangor Drama Club about the Club's 90th birthday. Unexpected pleasure of presence of friend and former colleague - here she is in my little teaser! (Also YouTube!) Enjoy! x

Honestly? Good grief.
I have the whole "boxed" set...two records, a poster and pamphlet...at the grand old age of about 19 I was one of the people "in charge" of the set up. Crass played and gave copies to some of us there. Great times.
A shelf of LPs with the album Christ, the Album by the Crass poking out
Oooo... @mickeyundertone.bsky.social looking for the Floy Joy...forgotten I had this.... from their gig at the A centre in Belfast ...when I was young.
Did this groovy space morph into the Madison Club in the 1980s? Cool....
It's only through reading the comments that I discover (after a long time following you under my personal name on that other place) that you are Conor. So Conor, I am by your side. Well done lovely man. We are with you both x
Eh....well you remember how it was I'm sure. Will dig it out and report back I promise!
Bought the album JUST for that song.
You're "the man" for playing it. Ty.
Wanna lead Iran?
Ok...the fringes, the shirts....just what was the algorithm in those days?
In my other life, I like trying to write #poetry
Last Sat I took part in a wonderful workshop with @looknorthbelfast.bsky.social and Stephen Sexton on dramatic monologues. Wow. SS such a great teacher.
Also. the teacups and saucers were en pointe.
Have just come across this on my feed, looked for a translation button. There wasn't one. 🙃
I saw it too. And as a woman, I feel it's worthy of at least a FIFA prize.
Lordy, when you set up a wee website to go with your wee podcast, no-one warns you about the spam mail.
What fresh hell is "organic visibility"? And who are all these people offering to help with it? #podcast #somethingcalledSEO
Hope the sconefest went well. I note that cherry scones are top in Newry (v good taste) but are also a key ingredient in top traybake of sorts, the fifteen. Cherries may be the way forward as there are lovers and haters on both sides....
Q for other creative writers/poets etc. Having started a project, are you ever astonished by how much the world around you echoes and amplifies what you're writing?
Sorry, distracted by Being Boiled....digging the vinyl out now....
Congratulations Tom!
One hundred percent
Brand new year, brand new episode! Please enjoy Gary McMahon's little Bangor memories ...inspired by the #Aspects literary festival in Bangor last year. The power of recollection to keep family in your heart...

Ah...as a Clash, Elvis Costello (early days) etc..I yearn for musicians to give their voices. I know the poets will...but we aren't all such good singers...
This is a great course...if you are a poet ... at any stage...do it!
This is a gorgeous listen.
So wonderful that the archive films were part of provoking such lovely memories.
Thanks B....so glad everything came together so well. Those vintage film clips were a big hit! x
With thanks to the bundle of creativeness that is @beebsymca.bsky.social xx
LBS were guests of #AspectsFestival in #BangorNI last month - voices from the #podcast and clips from #NIDigitalScreenArchive. Hear all about #PickiePool #Herbie and possibly the oldest graffiti in the city!
