We aim to further understand the circuit basis for psychiatric disorders through ongoing efforts (reporter.nih.gov/search/CNg6B...) studying brain-body relationships underlying effortful behavior in individuals undergoing intracranial monitoring for epilepsy surgery planning.

Cingulate dynamics track depression recovery with deep brain stimulation - Nature This study demonstrates how activity in the cingulate cortex tracks depression recovery, providing symptom relief using deep brain stimulation.

We are looking for a motivated and creative individual to work in an exciting interdisciplinary environment to build on our recent advances (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) in neurotechnology therapies for treatment-resistant depression.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in human neuroscience, experience conducting human-subject studies involving neural data acquisition (e.g., EEG, MEG, intracranial EEG) and proficiency in developing cognitive and behavioral tasks. Analysis experience is a plus.
