This is actually one of the reasons I transitioned away from theoretical neuro. I felt like I was building models that there was no near term experiment to fit/test given the technology at the time.

Proud to see so many SIPLab trainees presenting at #SFN. Come see the latest as we aim to understand circuits underlying depression, its brain/body interactions, and how to use deep brain stimulation as a therapy. @salagapan.bsky.social and I are searching for a postdoc - come talk!

The Power of Access: Chris Rozell’s Story of Opportunity Fueled by determination, Chris Rozell became the first in his family to go to college. He continued his education in graduate school, and now conducts research at Tech to find effective treatments for...

Happy to share this profile that Georgia Tech wrote up about the role that scholarships and education played in my path to being an interdisciplinary scientist. My life would be very different without the support and generosity of many people.

Cingulate dynamics track depression recovery with deep brain stimulation - Nature This study demonstrates how activity in the cingulate cortex tracks depression recovery, providing symptom relief using deep brain stimulation.

We are looking for a motivated and creative individual to work in an exciting interdisciplinary environment to build on our recent advances (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) in neurotechnology therapies for treatment-resistant depression.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in human neuroscience, experience conducting human-subject studies involving neural data acquisition (e.g., EEG, MEG, intracranial EEG) and proficiency in developing cognitive and behavioral tasks. Analysis experience is a plus.
