Often with consumer level SLS scanners, the resulting textures are worse than embedded vertex colours. I use the original scan texture to create masks for layered tri-planar materials in Toolbag 5 to lock detail back in #madewithmarmoset

I was noodling away on prototyping an opalescent
glass material in #Toolbag for a 1930s Art Deco style perfume case. I'm trying out a specular reflectance workflow to add that soft iridescent, thin-film shimmer. Still plenty of modelling left, but I'm happy with the direction the look is going in

Aw man I'm sorry to hear it. The industry is in absolute tatters, we had a particularly difficult couple of weeks in Ireland
Thanks Vic hope all is well

This is one from last year, I forgot to post the project. Shells scanned with the Creality Ferret Pro , 3DSMax and rendered in Toolbag 5 #madewithmarmoset #3dscan

This time of year you're lucky if you find one sweet you like in the Christmas leftovers! Two sweets scanned with the Creality Otter, processed and simmed in 3DSMax and rendered in Toolbag 5

Hello, old friend
Finished Silent Hill 2 Remake and got the "Leave" ending. Hats off to Bloober, that was superb
Yeah pretty quick to iterate, you can drag drop materials from the library into layered mats, and use as many masks as you like with controls for contrast/brightness and whatnot
I've been testing displacement with triplanar mapping and vertex colour masks in Toolbag 5, quite a powerful workflow. More to follow
Here's an apple I made 🍎👌
