ICE aren’t police officers, and the method and manner in which they have been conducting their operations in the past year, is not in line with the collective values or practices of 21st Century Policing.
If you’re in the greater @austintexasgov area, please, please, please avoid driving if at all possible. It is currently sleeting or snowing, but without a doubt we have moisture, freezing temperatures, and very slick roadways. Stay home, stay warm, stay safe!!

My heart aches after learning a former colleague took his own life. We lost a highly respected public servant who dedicated his life to making a difference. I send thoughts of comfort to those mourning this loss.

Drove non stop to avoid the storms in the South. God gave me this view tonight. My thoughts are with the victims of the deadly storms we experienced the past couple of days and with my parents who taught us to enjoy life and made us feel better rich when we were far from being wealthy.
Sad start to the day. I will always cherish the time serving alongside Mayor Turner during some very challenging events, from a Super Bowl to Hurricane Harvey, to Ice Storms, two World Series, and more. My prayers go out to Ashley and extended Turner family. RIP, Mayor.

The most powerful force multiplier in law enforcement is the people we serve. In many cases, the sooner you allow the public to review the photos, the higher the chances of a successful resolution. I am proud of the NYPD, their partner agencies, and the public members who offered their assistance.
