shockingly people are capable of simultaneously,
1. Hating their government
2. Hating the people who bomb and sanction their country, making regular life impossible and murdering members of their family, even more

Nature created neither servants, nor masters.
I want neither to rule, nor to be ruled.

When fascists take rights away from a group of people, they never stop there. Eventually, they come for everything. Invalidating the drivers licenses of trans people in Kansas is just the start. Who will be next?

Today, a week of action against ICE begins in the Twin Cities.
melttheicemn.com
We can't just try to mitigate the worst effects of their bad behavior. We have to take the initiativeβto make it impossible for them to continue doing harm.
If you can't make it to the Twin Cities, act where you are.

ICE is not broken. It's agents murdering people, taking trophies of victims, using illegal tactics, breaking laws, spreading terror, and leaving death cards are not isolated events, outliers, or accidents. ICE is operating exactly as intended.

NEW: Federal agents killed Alex Pretti, a 37 y/o man, in Minneapolis this morning after he tried to render aid to a woman who had just been maced. Community quickly built barricades & called for ICE to leave. Authorities tear-gassed & arrested people. π₯

Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."
Vigil Held for Alex Pretti, Second Person Killed by ICE in Minneapolis
Alex Pretti was an intensive care nurse with the US Dept of Veterans Affairs. He was fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday. He's the second person killed by ICE this month. More at our website & past posts.
ICE agent asked why he's taking pictures of a legal observer's car, replies: "Cuz we have a nice little database and now you're considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that."
A screenshot reading: Homeland Security X.com @DHSgov Today, Border Patrol agents who were in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area as part of a targeted enforcement operation were repeatedly harassed and blocked by hostile crowds while simply trying to take bathroom breaks. At each gas station where the agents stopped to use the restroom, groups of agitators appeared, yelled at them, stalked them, and even tried to prevent law enforcement vehicles from leaving, creating unsafe conditions. At one stop, individuals in the crowd threw food at the agents. At their final gas station stop, someone spit on an agent. When an agent moved to detain the person who spit on him, the crowed tackled and attacked the agents while surrounding them.
First of all, we know everything they say is a lie. They murdered Renee Good on video and lied about her. They are not credible.
Second, if anything like this ever did happen, it would be poetic justice after so much crying wolf.
Third, how do you wish people had treated the Nazis in 1934?
We can do better, we can remove him from the earth
I would rather see a garbage stick figure drawn in pencil than this slop
Except law enforcement regularly do not abide by the rules and face little to no consequences for it.. ice is just more open about it but they are the same
I think descriptive art about nature is a very interesting point to hone in on, it can expose what a culture does or does not value about nature and exposes unconscious cultural biases about nature which is extremely political in a world that treats nature as commodity

A Message from Germany

In this analysis, anarchists from Germany explore how events from German history should inform those who are resisting the consolidation of authoritarian power in the US today.
The manager of my house forced me to sign a 20 day eviction day notice (which is illegal), and the company whose job it is to make sure I'm safe had my case worker leave and didn't reassign me one.

I guess I do think if you participated in the arrest of a five-year-old you are probably just fundamentally incompatible with society. That you are not a safe person for humanity to be around, generally
Another friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."
It's genuinely a leaderless (or leaderful) movement, decentralized in a way that the state is absolutely unequipped to handle. There are a few basic skills involved, and so people teach each other those skills, and people are collectively refining them.
