the anime is gold but it's a slightly adapted version of the first two volumes, more or less. (there are 17 volumes of the manga.) I think the comic is much better but the show does a respectable job conveying the vibe

genuinely it's a wholesome story about geeky women (ages 18-30) who don't fit in but have each other and I wish desperately I'd had it as a teen. just lovely all around

am halfway through this and it is far and away the most difficult fic I've ever done, this is way beyond my skill level but I'm doing it anyway because I'm too invested (read: stupid) to stop now
