Stanwyckās role rivals her villainous character from DOUBLE INDEMNITY (1944) in this first-rate #noir.
Kirk Douglas appears in his film debut.

Glad you approve!
It transports me to a place and time when the world seemed a lot less crazy. It's one of my all-time favorites.

Day 3/10
Black Metallic, 3rd third track on Catherine Wheel's 1992 album Ferment, is a shoegaze milestone that still induces chills.
The album version gets quiet around the 4:30 mark before a thrilling, cathartic release at 6:04.

I get it. Thatās quite a task. A friend gave me the entire collection on DVD a few years ago, so I can watch at my leisure. I keep telling myself to watch the series start to finish, but havenāt yet done it.
I think there are great episodes throughout the series. But Iām a big fan.
Nice! Ida Lupino was such a talented woman.
Thanks, Carl. š
Such a great series!
Havenāt yet seen this, unfortunately, but his range as an actor is incredibleāfrom his endearing role in Our Vines Have Tender Grapes to his brutal character in Black Tuesdayāand somewhere in between in The Red House.
Truly one of the greats.
A still for The Twilight Zone episode The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine.
Happened to tune in to THE TWILIGHT ZONE, starring Ida Lupino as an aging star refusing to accept reality, in an episode titled THE SIXTEEN-MILLIMETER SHRINE.
Itās the fourth episode of season 1, and damn itās good.

Day 2/10 (2nd track)
Do It Cleanāan apparent reference to drugs with an irresistibly groovy, go-go vibeāis my favorite Echo & the Bunnymen track.
Itās the second track on the US version of the bandās debut album Crocodiles.

Show of Strength is a great choice!
Love a good noir movie. š
I think itās supposed to be your favorite first track from any album (and favorite second track tomorrow, etc.), if that makes sense.
Iām honestly not sure if every day will feature my absolute favorite track. Itās easy to forget one.

Track 1 (Day 1 of 10)
The first track on The B-52sā debut album still sounds remarkably unique and quirky. What a start!

š I think Iāve seen all of these but still nice to have them for whenever Iām in the mood.
I know! I think Iāve seen them all, but itās nice to have them on hand for rewatches.
Those are on my must-see list.
I love LE SAMOURAĆ, LE DEUXIĆME SOUFFLE and LĆON MORIN, PRIEST.
A box of film noir selections.
A classic film noir collection.
A friend gave me this amazing #FilmNoir collection.
I could get lost in the dangerous shadows for a couple of days.

My local library has a big selection of international films. I need to check there. Itās where I recently found Felliniās La Dolce Vita.
Downsizing closets and I suppose the shirts I havenāt worn since I retired seven (!) years ago can be donated to goodwill.
Some still have cleaners tags on them.
Iām always on the lookout for them.
Got a new mattress and itās so comfortable I donāt ever want to get out of bed again.
Send food, please.
Also, when did a good mattress get so damn expensive?
Same!
My favorite Cary Grant performance.
I prefer his dramatic roles over his comedy, and this oneās a heartbreaker.
Great scene, one of many.
