Last night, I wrote a lot about something I'd spent a long time hesitating over. Since my laptop seemed to have a WiFi connection issue, I went to sleep unsure if what I'd written had saved. But today, I awoke to find it had indeed been saved. Crisis averted! π
I love all the #StarTrek shows. If there's a weak one, I'd say it's likely DS9. I've never much liked the grey-shouldered uniforms in later seasons β a bit too bleak-looking. Great stories & acting, though. What do you think of DS9? Do u have a favourite character/episode from the show?
Agreed. Overuse of the word has, ever since childhood, taken me out of a lot of books I've tried to read. It's honestly a pet peeve, together with first-person perspective (the latter I've learned to tolerate in short stories but god knows how anyone manages to deal with it through entire novels!).
So often, writing advisers recommend using "said" instead of other dialogue tags because it somehow "disappears" for readers. Does anyone else find that, in reality, overuse of the word "said" is unimaginative and even annoying? I'd love to find out your thoughts about this.
Tonight, I checked out Send Help. Lots of fun β no help required!
Thanks for helping get the word out, Una
What questions would you like to ask the writing staff of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, if you could ask them anything? (Keep it clean, please. Haters will be blocked.)

Thank you. Live long and prosper.
Remembering Leonard Nimoy today, on what would have been his 95th birthday. RIP, Leonard Nimoy. π
Kind of an odd turn of career for Starfleet Academy's Dean of Students, though I certainly wish him all the best with it!

I am shocked to learn that Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will end with its second season. The show's first season was brilliant, imho, albeit with some room for even more potential. Hopefully that will be capitalised on, to some extent, in Season 2. Looking forward to it! π
If you're among the many people who have enjoyed the first season of #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy, what do you enjoy about it in particular?
Note: This week's episode of Starfleet Academy is called "Rubincon", not "Rubicon".
The upcoming tenth and final episode of Starfleet Academy's first season is one of my favourite episodes I've ever seen of Star Trek. It features great acting, effects and music, imho. I hope you enjoy it. π
Today, I'm enjoying my birthday!
Happy International Women's Day!
"In the Cards". I like that one too
What's your favourite funny Star Trek episode/film? Mine is probably DS9's "Little Green Men". It's a hoot! Close runners-up are Voyager: "Body and Soul" and TOS: "Spock's Brain".
Happy 60th anniversary, Star Trek! π
I recently found out that the US are going to introduce a tariff on the UK and several other countries until the sale of Greenland is processed. Well, on behalf of Britain, I only have 2 words: f**k Trump!
Yesterday, I received word that I am due to win an award for my acting in a recent series of short films produced in Edinburgh. I could hardly believe it but it's true. The award ceremony will be held next Saturday. Looking forward to collecting it!
Happy 33rd anniversary, DS9!
Today, I very much enjoyed watching the series finale to Stranger Things. It does an excellent job of bringing a fitting conclusion to what has been a fun series.
It's the start of a new year and I would like to encourage a spirit of positivity and optimism. So, tell me: what are some things you're either thankful for or looking forward to?
This morning I am envisioning a kinder and happier world π π
