The US Attack on Iran and the Autocratizing West Governance by "you can just do things"

"Perhaps the clear lack of objective conceals a darker agenda: many experts believe that Israel and the United States would be satisfied with a ruined country fractured by civil war." (via @lilylynch.bsky.social) www.lilyslynch.com/p/the-us-att...

Lily Lynch, Confections — Sidecar On Sanna Marin’s memoir.

Lily Lynch (@lilylynch.bsky.social) on Sanna Marin’s memoir:

‘Throughout Hope in Action, Marin invokes ‘the collective’ – sometimes to illustrate the qualities of the Finnish soul, at others to give her lust for power an egalitarian sheen.’

Interesting to read "...the cocktail of heightened geopolitical tension, sudden acts of violence, intensifying ethno-nationalist rhetoric, and irresponsible politicians with large media platforms does warrant elevated concern."

Lily Lynch, Sense of an Ending — Sidecar Serbia’s unrest.

In post-Cold War CEE/Eurasia, there hasn't been a popular protest movement as important as the current one in Serbia that wasn't cultivated and coopted by outside powers. Which explains why the latter are literally speechless about it. By @lilylynch.bsky.social

A must-read - whether or not you care about this part of the world. There is also a lesson here for America (and beyond), it's easy to slide into total corruption and impunity, but takes ages, and is really, really hard to exorcise it.
"This is not a revolution but an exorcism."

Pismo Radislava Krstića: Nikad više genocidShoppster-Logo Radislav Krstić je u pismu kojim traži prevremeno puštanje na slobodu, naveo da bi i sam glasao za Rezoluciju UN o Srebrenici.

A Bosnian-Serb commander convicted of aiding and abetting genocide at Srebrenica supports the UN resolution establishing an international day of remembrance for the victims of the 1995 massacre. "I committed an unthinkable and inadmissible criminal act... never again".
