I didn't expect much from Scary Movie 6, but I happened to see the trailer just now and it goes hard on being anti-woke and like... really? I know they have never been great, but I thought it was more about not caring instead of taking a side.

I think a lot about how the percentage of American men not reading is less because there aren't books that could appeal to men (duh), and more that genuinely dark forces have worked to suck all of their attention towards self-destruction.
Looking forward to getting my Simon "Terrible Human Being" Cowell on for the Editorial Idol competition đ

The Drake "no and yes" meme format. He says no to: "I'm not a real writer because I've had writers block for six months." He says yes to: "I am a real writer because I won't use AI to write for me no matter how long it takes."

There are a lot of things that make me sad for humanity, but when I see search query suggestions on my browser like "What is the best book?" I take a lot of psychic damage.
Iâm salty about author discourse focusing on irrelevant craft minutiae because publishing is more broken than at any time in my 25 years of freelance writing. And itâs not like it didnât suck back then. Itâs just that everything that sucked back then STILL sucks, and the rest also sucks now too.
This morning's #Bandcamp listen while I'm writing some flash. Fun Witchcore vibes.
Omg can I fry the skin into delicate skin chips??? I love a floppy skin as much as the next person, but Iâd die for skin crisps.
I'm in this one with Hatred Enthrones Me! I even made some art for it. Really a bucket-list success for me, and supporting a good cause.

I gather the SF&F subgenre formerly referred to as'blokes in cloaks' is now to be known as 'mantasy', and may be considered the counterpart to 'guy fi'. You may now go on with your day.
When this particular sin happens, itâs often because the author got the rights back from the original publisher and is now self-publishing it. They donât necessarily have the same resources as the publisher did and donât have the rights to use the original covers.

Space background Obsidian book cover Photo of author wearing neon 80s shades. ââContingency Protocolâ was written on a dare. I like to challenge myself as a person and a writer. Science is very challenging to my non-scientific brain. Consequently, most science fiction I write is of the "soft" variety. So I challenged myself to write hard sci-fi, et voilĂ ! A story was born.â Obsidian Author: Mia Dalia What inspired this story? Preorder from Theslab.press Out April 30th
