Also, to go back to the original point, every group of players will have off days, or play a side having the game of their lives. The amount of fresh, high quality talent at their disposal is the best way to mitigate against those days.... How many times has Semenyo already bailed City out?

Football's a game of very fine margins. If Havertz had put that header 6 inches lower. Or if Man City hadn't breached the rules 115 times without being sanctioned. So exciting. What a sport.
Bit of an understated problem this
Sure, it's a rotten sport on many levels, but I think as ever there's levels to it and blurring the lines as most clubs likely do is a completely different thing to the type of contempt shown by City for the rules (as seen in their leaked emails, the 115, how they paid Mancini etc...)
Man City also, famously, don't really report their finances properly and like to make payments off the books
I think Madueke is struggling with injury as he's really dropped off from where he was before the intl break.
As my RSM used to always say when explaining a gruelling job ' fairly simple, fairly easy'
My irrational hope is now pinned to the idea that we're getting our very own Aguero moment on the last day of the season
I mean they do invite refs to ref 'charity matches' in Abu Dhabi for handsome payments.... And that's just what's been reported on. The whole league is rotten
And there are reasons for that, that go beyond the footballing... And this season the big game is a difference maker and those reasons again tipped the scale
Somehow doubt we'll see the same commentary on dark arts and how City's rotational fouling (let alone financial crimes) is killing football
We had the chances to draw or even win it today, but it's the unfairness of this league that sticks in the craw...
Remembering the goal ruled out at OT, yet Cherki starts the move for the first goal with a two handed shove on Eze
Haaland scores the second with fistfuls of Gabriel's shirt..
I hate this league bent as an Alan key
Playing this game, against this squad, with our injuries and then playing against twelve.... It's just too much
To concede in that manner, after the two chances we just missed.... Gutting
How does Semenyo not get booked for diving there....
We're clearly playing against 12, Anthony Taylor auditioning for his trip to Abu Dhabi to ref a charity game
Disgrace to his profession as Arsene Wenger once said to him.
Even worse that it's just as true now as it was then
Everytime we string a few passes together they clatter us and Anthony Taylor just shrugs and waves like he's just there because he won a raffle
Most expensive parked bus*
Grumble grumble autocorrect
In the last 3 PL games against City:
They got bailed out by the ref (Trossard red at the Etihad)
We absolutely battered them 4-1
They got an early goal and spent the game as the world's most important parked bus before our last minute equaliser
We can do this, we're better than them
For the love of God and all that is sweet good and holy in this world please don't let Gary Neville be commentating our game today
City predictably in their new 4-1-4-1, we put out the best side we could hope for, with lots in reserve
Come on lads, time to continue the proud history of winning titles at the homes of our proud, dodgy, dominant rivals
Anybody know what the likelihood of getting Timber/Calafiori/Saka/Ødegaard back for Sunday is?
Good to be back home last night after too long away, not the most exciting game but I got to meet gunnersaurus so all good
That first point is spot on, you could be sure that if the Arteta project was at any other club the reporting and narratives on it would be 180° different
It's also financed and used by people who do an awful lot of evil around the world.
The unfortunate reality is that our club is just another soulless corporate entity, they just know they have an emotional product and pull our heart strings with it
Except it's not a business, it's a sport, with rules, integrity etc... all of which are completely ran roughshod over to give an unfair advantage, that's why they're setting up companies in the UAE to give payments.
But I can tell you're on the windup so will leave it here
Yeah they pay off the books and misreport their spending... Exactly what I said above, more commonly referred too as cheating.
