To add to what Rual already said (which I 100% agree with), make sure you are sending requests to creators that fit your game.
If someone sends me platformer/horror/fps/generic requests, I just ignore them. I have my niche and that one is full enough already.
Even at a MUCH smaller size, I've received around 1.800 NextFest emails so far.
A lot of them are fairly low quality shot-in-the-dark type promotions. Tons of AI trash as well. I'm covering exactly 1 title out of all of it.
Event has become worthless for discovery.
