One month into research leave (extremely lucky given the current climate) and two very different projects on the go 📚 💪📝
Over the next few weeks, I will be saying more about my recent publications but for now, I am celebrating keeping a child alive for the best part of a year 👶, surviving my first week back at work, and the baby getting STAR of the week at Nursery (which made me cry!) 😭
During this time, I have also had a few publications, including my monograph which was published the same week my son was born📘. As my son is an IVF baby, ironically both took the same amount of time to be created and enter the world! 💉
But we have also had plenty of laughter 😆, nursery rhymes 🎵 (why do most nursery rhymes revolve around a male character?!?!), smiles☺️, adventures 🏖️, Costa’s ☕ and making new friends (both the baby and I) 👭
Here is to surviving my first week back at work (just) 🥂 The last year has been the hardest yet most rewarding time of my life. We have had plenty of tears and sleepless nights (my son has yet to sleep through the night). 😴
