Right, this system was based from there design. and we have a checkpoint area that, when visited, will restore everything (NPCs and Items) back to its original positions.
its quite interesting. im pretty happy i got to implement it.
One of the most recent tools I made was a worldResetManager, which saves cache states of the game, similar to Elden Ring. and it was probably one of the most interesting tools I've ever worked on.
I made a post about it on indiforge, but i never shared it here.

Most indie devs don’t have a feedback problem.
They have a visibility problem.
Players don’t see what’s happening behind the scenes—so it feels like nothing is happening at all.

I've talked to a lot of students who want to get into game dev—and most of them are unsure what they should actually be doing.
So I wrote about it.
Not just education—but what actually matters when trying to break in.

Right. and its a shame to see a project where several hours are put into it, and ultimately it doesn't work out. I think if the devs get more exposure, and learn that there are 'free' options available, they will have a better opportunity to find success.
Most indie devs don’t have a marketing strategy.
They have a launch plan—and hope.
After GDC, one thing was clear:
Discovery starts before release.
Wrote about wishlists, funnels, and what actually works 👇

Hate when that happens
Just dropped a new devlog 👀
Working on procedural room generation for my roguelite — connecting terrain, fixing direction issues, and getting NPC pathfinding working across it all.

Here's a picture of my cat wearing my shoes 👟
This texture looks good enough, yes... How do I add it to my voxel game 🤔
😂 any tips? Do I stay as a rogue mage?
I'm almost level 36 too. few more months
Just published my reflections from #GDC2026.
Layoffs, new funding models, and the rise of indie studios show how the industry is shifting — but developers are adapting.

You got this guys!
This comment looks oddly suspicious 👀👀

It still seems small, but I like the premise. I think it's a much better approach that gives power to the people to decide where the money goes, and not the studios who let go of people when they prioritize profits over people

Just saw the GDC talk for this too
Another year, another GDC, with the current hot topic on the line. AI development, and indie game company growth. Excited to see what this year has to show us
That's exciting and I'm thrilled for you!
There will be a unity product update - YT announcement tomorrow for anyone interested

Just like many posts before me. I too will be at GDC. Hope to see you there :)
I actually make YT vids and shorts on my progress. Here's my most recent one youtube.com/shorts/1EY7z...
Ever wonder how a “simple” chest works in a game?
Behind the scenes it’s player alerts, animation, hooks, enemy/item mapping — all tied together.

Exactly. The polish phase is invisible but easily the longest part of the process. Even tiny mechanics can take dozens of iterations just to feel “natural.” Behind-the-scenes content is honestly the only way to show what that process actually looks like.
So much of game dev is invisible.
The smoother a feature looks, the more work probably went into it.
I Wrote a piece about the hidden effort behind smooth scene transitions and why “simple” is never simple in game dev.
