For anyone wanting a downloadable version of slowroads.io, consider purchasing the Web Edition on itch.io! While it doesn't include extra features, it does have high-resolution assets not available online. And if you're waiting for the full version on Steam, look out for a demo coming later in March

It's something I'd like to try, for sure. VR has been on the list for years but hasn't quite made it near the top of the list yet... Once the Steam release is out I'll give it a try

Yep! The web version will continue to get new features and stability upgrades even after the Steam version is released. The web version will remain true to the minimal style, while the Steam version is for all the extra features that make it more of a fully-featured game.
Version 2.1 is now live on slowroads.io, featuring new vehicle physics, autosteer/autospeed modes, one-pedal drive, draggable camera controls, and a handful of QoL upgrades.
Next up for 2.2 will be improvements to the environmental detail and weather effects 🌧️
