Oh really? Since that was their plan initially, I think it was for the better that they made them unrelated in the games. The "sisters" thing in the movie just killed the emotional bond Rosalina had with the Lumas outside of the "she was born in space and is made of stardust" shit they made up here.

3. Rosalina and Peach being sisters. As someone who played the first Galaxy game and read Rosalina's Storybook, I understood why so many people hated it - it just ruined Rosalina's emotional connection to the Lumas. I just went "Oh. Oh no." I just knew.

2. Wart's return was awesome given how Nintendo's been trying to pretend he never existed for the past 38 years, but given how he was in cahoots with the Bowser, I wish he was used more beyond that casino scene. Love his voice, but wish he had more relevance beyond being SMB2 filler.

If anything, my only real criticisms of the film are:
1. Rosalina's miniscule screentime. If it's called The Super Mario GALAXY Movie then why is the character who debuted in the game of reference barely in it?

Just got back from watching the Mario Galaxy movie. It's a solid 9/10, I don't care about the critics shitting on the film for being a bloated mess for kids and having one of its most hyped up character's screentime be stolen by Fox McCloud. It was a fun, simple story for all ages, and that's THAT.

I'm about to watch the new Mario movie with my sister, see yall when I get out 🫡
