What's blooming at The Perry Farm? Miami Mist (a reference to the Miami Native American people). These tiny bits cover the north hillside at our place.

What's on my mind? Native grape honeysuckle (Lonicera reticulata), which soon will bloom at The Perry Farm. Notice the leaves, which look like the petals of green poppies.

What's blooming at The Perry Farm? My favorite-- native wild columbine.
(Aquilegia canadensis). The root "aquila" means "eagle" and refers to the flower's talon-like spurs.
