The thing is, if they wanted to sweep Salmonids being a culture under the rug, why would they bring them back at all and then just straight up show them as possessing cultural artifacts that we steal. Like they're not hiding that they're a people and the protags don't acknowledge that and rob them

Also, the key art looks so amazing. Splatoon 3D art always looked kinda strange since the high detail models were obviously different from the in-game models, but now they totally nailed how the in-game models look since Splatoon 3. Especially Frye looks so much more accurate now

But since this is Nintendo I'm worried they just decided the Salmonids are now the new go to bad guys since we're done with the Octarians and there will be 0 character development for the cast treating Salmonids like animals

Lore-wise I'm curious but also worried how they will deal with the Salmonids.
Since we basically just... rob them blind of their cultural artifacts it would be great if the story acknowledges that and the cast over time learns that the Salmonids are actually a sapient people that should be respected
