One of the signs of getting older is that I used to love the feeling of my foot falling asleep and now I just want walk when it happens

I used to love Martina. Saw the final years of her career and have watched her in the booth. I had few lgbtq sports icons as a kid and she was the main one. I’ve watched her go the anti trans route and it’s just been awful to watch.
Yeah I’m in a hub city. United simply is the best from my city, but agnosticism served me well in non hub cities.
People, who have never lived in California but idealize its climate and topography, look at me like I’m just a crackpot when I talk about this dynamic in California politics.
Chicago’s politics aren’t great, but O much prefer it to California’s.
Both valuable and contributory to a some group/work setting, but our degrees aren’t just job skills, they help to shape our default mode of engaging a scenario (for better and for worse)
Very true. I find this all the time with accountants. My way of thinking, with the political science background, is full on structural and large n whereas accountants are about “what does this entry say”
So much back and forth based on our trained ways of thinking being fundamentally different.
I am also a millenial and have paid for pizza delivery via check. Granted it was 18 years ago, but I’ve done it.
You could write a check
Mets are in Chicago right now, at the game today, Cubs fans booed when the Mets pitcher tried a pickoff (standard crowd reaction). A Mets fan behind me yelled “you’re winning stop it”
Pure Mets fan to go to some other team’s home and complain about the Mets losing.
Any reaction you get is an acknowledgement that the responder knows who Joey Mills is.
The one nice thing I'll say about Madonna is that the song where she samples ABBA is good, but that's most because ABBA is good.
Was your assumption that it was him added to the list of threats to democracy?
The Reinsdorfs would actively prefer if you supported different teams
Got really annoyed yesterday when copilot told me it couldn’t consolidate different onenote pages into one page, but at the same time the fact that I even thought “oh yes computer please do this task because it’ll take me an annoying amount of time” gives me some hope for its promise.
This is why I am a secret 4th thing: AI Meher
Land Before Time bringing brontosaurus to 2nd place
There’s an instagram ad with some kid hawking t-shirts. And he says that it’s casual enough to wear it with shorts but if you want to “dress it up” you can with jeans.
The notion of jeans being the “dress up” option HAUNTS ME
HA. I saw it around the same age and it took me years to get over my fear of spiders.
What didn’t he do? Mostly I, as a fellow Cubs fan, find his form of Cubs fandom annoying. However he was drunk at a game last year with Cindy Crawford sitting next to him. That made me laugh.
You do not, under any circumstance, gotta hand it to Eddie Vedder
Ok but the pennies thing works. My cousin’s sister in law’s brother’s nephew tried the pennies while also drinking water upside down, his tinnitus and hiccups were gone, and he grew 3 inches.
Thank you for the clarification. And that 8% mandate ends in 2028 when the grace/compliance period has matured? In other words, is there an 8% mandate on 7/1/29?
Is the 8% requirement the mechanism by which they must become compliant with the new minimum wage or is at a mandated raise over and above the new minimum wage compliance?
The question is, do they go back to Reagan as the greatest American president and they are all his natural successor or do they find a new avatar? I suspect they’ll find a new avatar, but it won’t be Trump once he’s dead.
I’m genuinely confused by this, and debating on whether I want to reach comprehension on this particular screenshot
I will be haunted by that for a long time to come.
They forgot Gen Xers existed and had to put in an additional age bracket at the last second.
I didn’t realize they didn’t talk.
It’s genuinely funny that Factor and other meal service companies have recreated the TV dinner but with a subscription.
