I got to play with all the best percussion toys and techniques that semester. Gong/Tamtam, Cymbals, triangle, xylophone, using a bow string on the edge of a cymbal to emulate a waterphone, etc.
(I was a voice major so didn't make the cut as a sax that year; but they didn't entirely cast me out.)

One of my best friends spoiled the tragic twist of Heavensward for me. I was sad, and asked them to be more careful. They've since spoiled two other major plot points for me. I gave them *playful* shit for it, and now its become a running gag WE'RE STILL FRIENDS.
IRL people >>>> fiction.
The thing was, xey were mad at someone else who HAD been openly talking spoilers; but xey took it out on me (last staw scenario). And the thing that xey thought was a spoiler, in order to explain how it wasn't would have required me to tell xem the REAL spoiler. It was so stupid in every direction.
It doesn't mean that it didn't hurt, of course. That a work of fiction is more important than the friendship (and emotional safety) of a living, breathing human being.
Oh I do lol. One that did this to me last year tried to have our whole circle ostracize ME, but wound up entirely alienating xeirself. Like, I don't think they even play now. I did get kicked from a discord, but then others quit it in protest, and I got added to four others in the aftermath. (1/2)
