NEWS: A federal judge has saved the 15th Street protected bike lane (for now), saying the decision to remove the lane running from Constitution Avenue to the Tidal Basin was "arbitrary and capricious and not the result of reasoned decision-making." It was to be removed this week.

Don’t forget, for many years #Uber insisted loudly that it would reduce traffic in cities. Instead, Uber drivers cruise without passengers 40% of the time. Uber and Lyft no longer claim they reduce traffic. They now admit they increase congestion.

Today I had to rent a ZipCar and drive on the Beltway to get to a work event in Annandale. It reminded me how lucky I am to live in a place where I can easily be car free and that most of my local travel is by walking, bike, bus or subway.
