oh it is typed, you get to declare your variables with however many bits you want, but connecting different bit widths is a warning that gets lost in the sea of a thousand other warnings where every other dev on the project didn't bother to make their intentional width conversions explicit

highlights include typos sometimes implicitly creating nonsense variables, complete lack of typesafety in a hardware language, and most people who use it refusing to use any language constructs introduced less than 20 years ago

i forgot to post about it because i nerdsniped myself into learning proc macros but graphemy 0.5 is out now, featuring a major ui overhaul with a tiling main editor panel, color theming for everything, new file templates, and copy/paste/undo/redo in the character editor
