part of what makes them seem better is that they are under constant surveillance from the state on pretty much every stretch of road. Speed cameras. Bus lane cameras. Red light cameras. Temporary speed limit cameras. Dont have insurance? your license plates just got ran for that too.

Lived in the UK for 2 years. Had to get a UK drivers license. I can say that having to pass that exam made me a MUCH better driver and I would say that the Brits are excellent drivers. They are a bit TOO obsessed with the rules and some of their speed limits are insane, esp the backroads at 60MPH
